Considering granite in a steam shower -- how crazy is this idea?

I know it is recommended to use porcelain rather than natural stone in a steam shower. I have heard of marble developing rust stains because of the steam. What about a granite like Piracema White? I was planning on using large 40" x 120" sheets of Kerlite porcelain tile to avoid grout lines, and the tile installer recommended granite slabs instead if I want that look. It is a less expensive granite, so it would not cost that much more than having Kerlite installed.
