They are aware of the problem. It only affects Firefox and not Internet Explorer. In the New Yahoo mail click on the CONTACTS tab. New tabs will open; one will be ACTIONS. Click on ACTIONS to "open". Select SORT BY LAST NAME. Hope this works for you. I also prefer to sort by last name but Vala55 has an excellent reason for selecting a first name sort. Isn't it nice that we have the choice.

Interesting. Thanks for posting this. I double checked my settings and adjusted what I could in hotmail. Though I couldn't find the "permissions" link. I don't get why people would actually fill out all that info (phone numbers etc.) What's the point? I really wish they wouldn't do stuff like that. It's enough to make me want to delete my account.
