One thing is as Mikie said, you can unblock mail addresses. Another thing is your aversion to allowing them into your email account. I did it a few times because my ATT/Yahoo account couldn't handle the overload of mail I receive, and my mailbox simply broke down several times and had to be rebuilt. While there is a limit, I receive so much at once and constantly that things periodically went wrong. I let them in and they fixed it each time, and I didn't lose any mail in the process. You don't have to give them your password. They can create a temporary password and then you change it back when they are finished. Another thing is a Yahoo notice that was sent to their Plus users. I don't know if this applies to you because I don't know if you are a Plus subscriber and also have no idea if you use a third party email client like Outlook or IncrediMail or if your friends use one. You can decide for yourself if this is helpful to you at all. It really sounds more like the problem is on your friend's end. I do a lot more reading these day! Books are my friends LOL I have found in doing some investigating that in all of the big hotmail changes (whether we want them or not unfortunately) they are also making some very sneaky changes and putting some peoples info out there with out them knowing it. I have zero info about me on my hotmail info so nothing to share there but here are some interesting things pointed out in windows secrets article. Hotmail's social networking busts your privacy I never look at the new today page I have mine set to go directly to my inbox so I had no idea about all the stuff that is now shown on that page. I just looked at mine and I can see lists of several people that I know and in the lists it tells who they are new friends with! I have it all prepared to paste into the proper place on the yahoo signature area but it won't allow me to paste anything. There is a box that says " type" and it appears that is all that it will let you do. The old yahoo mail did not have this problem. You could put what you wanted. I tried to have it go to where I had it saved on my computer but it wouldn't do that either. Hopefullly they update this, if that is not presently allowed. Thanks for your suggestion.

Partymusic, sorry, I don't have experience with Yahoo, but I want to address Lars' complaint about Gmail. Lars, in Gmail you need to "label" any messages you want to save, and then Gmail will make folders for you. The icon for "label" is in the row at the top, to the left of "more." You can label the message multiple times (for example, by names of correspondents or by subject ... whatever you wish; you can also nest subtopics under main topics). The message will remain in your inbox until you decide to "archive" it (in the row at the top, it is the first icon on the left, a down-arrow). When it's archived, it will disappear from your inbox, but you will see a list of labels (i.e., email correspondents or topics) on the left, and you can click and view it again. So the list of labels/correspondents is really a list of "folders." Sue
