Gillian, try Orisinal. Its a cute flash site. Winter Bells is just darling, its the first square. Just click on it and click on the big square that comes up, and again. Have the snow bunny jump the bells. If you click on the flower, you can "send flowers" which is to "pick and arrange" flowers on an email postcard. I don't think the send link works. Iris Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.228 is the latest version. If you right click on the black are where the video would normally show you will get a pop up showing which version you have. I realise you stated you had the most recent version in your original post. This is the update site for Adobe Flash if you are not up to date. BE SURE to remove the check mark where it suggests installing McAfee too - unless you want McAfeee of course. Are you able to view the nests on the CBC site? Again this morning I too am only getting a black screen at the Hancock site.

I don't support having to shut down the AV particularly when notified to do so by a pop-up. Too many bad things can happen. I have for years upgraded versions of Adobe Shockwave and both Flash Players (IE and non-IE), and never had to shut down my AV. There have been several Flash upgrades recently in a short period of time, and a new Release Candidate for IE v10.3.181.5 is now being offered. I can only warn, if you get any popup telling you to turn off your AV regardless of the focus application don't. Research the offering by going to the manufacturer's homepage or a trusted download site, CNET, Filehippo, Major Geeks just to name a few. Finally, after doing your homework, and if you still have doubt come here. Again, when it comes to turning off your AV you cannot ever be overly cautious. DA

It looks like I got the problem resolved. I used REVO to totally remove FF and all references to it, including personal settings. I opened I.E and browsed the web and all worked well. I.E. is using the FIREFOX version of FLASH PLAYER 10______.34 which I manually installed into I.E. and it accepted. I then ran the install for FireFox 5.0 As it was loading it asked me if I wanted to import settings from I.E., I opted YES, I was then asked if I would like to make FF my default, I opted YES. Once done and without making any changes or additional additions or actions of any kind, FF imported everything I had in I.E. I went to several sites I knew Flash Player would be needed and everything worked fine. It appears as I suspected, there was a toggle somewhere in FireFox that got toggled to either TRUE or FALSE. I wish I could have determined which one, to have made this problem go away sooner. If time permits, I may play with them until I can recreate the problem.
