Besides adding the new master bath, we're also gutting the main part of the house (kitchen, family room, living room, and dining room.) The walls around the kitchen won't be put back, and the wall between the the family room and living room will be moved a few feet and contain a double-sided gas fireplace. So....no vaulted ceilings anywhere else in the house after the remodel. I was hoping to have a chandelier over the tub. That might help feel like the ceiling height is brought down some. I have a feeling that the GC has already ordered the scissor trusses for the vault, so it might be too late to change. I couldn't reach him late today. On the other hand, maybe it will make the bathroom feel special if it's the only vaulted room in the house! Maybe??

Also the new GE Reveal LEDs - they have good color rendering (90 CRI) and though the 2850K color temperature doesn't sound all that different than 2700, they definitely throw off a cooler cast than 2700K bulbs. Available in a BR30 flood or standard (A19) 40- or 60-watt replacement. Home Depot stocks them in their stores and I just bought a BR30 to try it out. I can't get your link to work btw

Here is a rough drawing of the roomsince the plumbing worked best going the length of the shower, and by code an exterior wall would lose at least six inches inside the shower they added a wall to the left of the doorway to house the shower fixtures. In my mind orginally that wall was going to be glass and the room ceilings would be a few feet higher than my glass enclousure. Once we decided to place plumbing five feet from the exterior and add a wall it made sense to lower the shower ceilings to a slope with the highest point at nine feet. Here is a picture of the plumbing wall during construction Where the paper is is the entrance to the bath room. The wall juts in the middle of the 13 foot long entrance wall.The shower shower ceiling is three feet lower than room's highest point but you can not tell. I am sure I am not explaining it right. We basically built an alcove shower instead of an open two sided glass one.

Thanks to both of you. I will definitely look at the mirror back light below and above , as I was planning the below one anyway. That makes sense. Outside of that, most of the beautiful pictures you shared were including recessed lights, which I cant really do because of the concrete ceiling. We thought about doing a drop ceiling to add can lights (ultra flats ones) but that would force us to redo the doors for the whole floor which are custom floor to ceiling height. That is why I was considering doing that same thing but just partially (just 6 ") from the vanity through the shower/tub so be able to have the recessed light look. I am just struggling getting a clean look, without those options. If I can't do that, and I cant do the sconces because there is just not much room to add a sconce between the sink and the wall next to the vanity (it is only 30" wide and our sink is a large rectangular vessel sink), what other options would you recommend?
