Vaulted ceiling in bathroom--hate or love?

We're adding a 6.5' x 16.5' master bath onto the end of our house with 5.5' very deep soaking tub at one end and a 5' standup shower at the other end. While the designer (not architect) was drawing with us, I came up with the idea of doing a vaulted ceiling instead of our usual 91.5" height to make the space seem bigger. Since then I have read some articles by architects that say vaulted ceilings in the bathroom are a no-no as it makes the space feel vast and not cozy. I can't tell you exactly how tall the apex of the vault would be--somewhere around 3' taller than the other end. Tallest part will be over the tub. BTW, the house is about 2000 sq.ft, typical and boring rambler. No other vaulted ceilings in the house or any other outstanding architectural features.

Anybody hate their vaulted ceiling like this? Framing starts very soon so I must decide now!! Will I regret this?
