Has anyone done a window illusion in a bathroom with no window?
Comments (4)I know of one person I met in another forum a few years ago who took a picture of looking out her mother's back door, and turned it into a mosaic in her tub surround. Unfortunately, I can't find the pictures, and I did a search on that forum, and couldn't find them there, either, so you have to take my word for it-- it really was beautiful....See MoreFrosted glass window film?
Comments (20)The film we used will allow you to see only an indistinct shape and some movement when it is dark outside, the subject is illuminated brightly and only when the subject is standing within inches of the window. It does not allow you to see detail or clear outlines. In other words the most you see is a moving blurry blob! Our modesty when using our ground floor bathroom is protected! I remember at Lowes they had small samples, like tiny windows, that you could test for the level of obscurity. The film we chose was the only one at the time that offered that degree of privacy....See MoreFrosted glass door for bathroom?
Comments (42)I can see it has been quite a while since this post. I can thoroughly relate to you tivy. I have a great room with 5 doors that are visible. They must all match because it would drive my OCD brain crazy. The other doors are half lite doors. to allow light into the space and provide views of the beautiful garden. My BF and I argued for months during the remodel regarding the doors. he finally gave in and acquiesced to a matching half lite door for a bathroom. The doors i chose were not privacy glass. I merely purchased the stick on privacy sheeting and fit it in the clear door panel quite nicely. Judging by the pictures provided that door seems like it is it to heavy looking for the space. Maybe try a half lite door? As I did. It allows light but all you see is the chest up?...See MoreBathroom privacy - frosted windows
Comments (8)Not sure if one needs to disrobe in front of the window to see if its effective or not, lol, however I do agree with having a spouse or friend moving about on the interior in a fashion that you normally would to see what privacy it offers. Keep in mind that the closer you are to the glass, its effectiveness at obscuring the occupant(s) is diminished. In short, if the window is in the shower, you may have a legit worry. If its 4 ft away however, not likely that much will be seen....See Morehomey_bird
