Take the little red X sticker off the front of your camera lens.

Thanks, Mikie! I didn't even see it there! I thought it was something with the computer, DUH! Now I will have to find out who put it there.

Where are you seeing the Red X
Are you seeing these Red X's for the files in your folder view of the pics ?

Here on this forum, mostly.

ie. The test forum under "What's Your Temp?" always gives me little boxes with a red "X" inside if them, instead of the weather stickers.

I must have something set wrong in my virus protection.

may be a good idea to check here if you havent yet...

And just incase you are seeing a red X on Mikie's post - make sure the option "SHOW PICTURES" is checked. From your Internet Explorer toolbar go to: Tools->Internet Options->Advanced tab

It does have a check beside.

My computer showed all pics, a while back, then it started showing the boxed red X a few times, and now they are always boxes with red X's.

I can see photos on the photogrphy forum though.

Some times you'll get the red X when the pic is no longer on the host site.

Kt,

Did you ever get your red X fixed?

Sue

red x's usually denote a path issue to the file location.

if the script cant find the file at the specified path, then it shows a red x.

check locations of the files and their locations int he scripts

they can also occurr when deep linking files from other domains who servers have hotlink protection enabled.

In Microsoft Knowledge Base you could probably write
a book about Red X.
