One thing is as Mikie said, you can unblock mail addresses. Another thing is your aversion to allowing them into your email account. I did it a few times because my ATT/Yahoo account couldn't handle the overload of mail I receive, and my mailbox simply broke down several times and had to be rebuilt. While there is a limit, I receive so much at once and constantly that things periodically went wrong. I let them in and they fixed it each time, and I didn't lose any mail in the process. You don't have to give them your password. They can create a temporary password and then you change it back when they are finished. Another thing is a Yahoo notice that was sent to their Plus users. I don't know if this applies to you because I don't know if you are a Plus subscriber and also have no idea if you use a third party email client like Outlook or IncrediMail or if your friends use one. You can decide for yourself if this is helpful to you at all. It really sounds more like the problem is on your friend's end. Partymusic, sorry, I don't have experience with Yahoo, but I want to address Lars' complaint about Gmail. Lars, in Gmail you need to "label" any messages you want to save, and then Gmail will make folders for you. The icon for "label" is in the row at the top, to the left of "more." You can label the message multiple times (for example, by names of correspondents or by subject ... whatever you wish; you can also nest subtopics under main topics). The message will remain in your inbox until you decide to "archive" it (in the row at the top, it is the first icon on the left, a down-arrow). When it's archived, it will disappear from your inbox, but you will see a list of labels (i.e., email correspondents or topics) on the left, and you can click and view it again. So the list of labels/correspondents is really a list of "folders." Sue

raven- yes, that was what I was thinking of, thank you. I do not use OE very much- I would rather use Yahoo. I find that I can't delete the addresses by highlighting them and then deleting. Will I do this BCC with Yahoo also? Now, I have mentioned the security risk to two people- my cousin, and a friend. Both retired. Their reply to me was-'I.ve been doing it this way for years and nothin' has ever happened to me- I've never had a virus'. One, the cousin, has had to send his Dell back twice- about 3 -4 years apart as I remember it. His computer was totally gone- he lost all pictures, folders, addresses- everything. Couldn't this possibly been a virus? I guess as long as nobody gets his 401k, raids his bank account, or credit card, he thinks he is safe. Maybe he is, I don't know- but what little I have, I want to keep. As far as the other poster, he is my friends husband, and HE KNOWS EVERYTHING!!(he woulda' been a divorced guy many, many moons ago if married to me.... hmmm, probably dead and buried in the cellar..) I've looked and looked and looked for a place to set it to "remember me", but I just cannot find it and I am usually good at this sort of thing. It is seriously so annoying that I may go to the trouble of switching to Gmail. I even tried searching the Yahoo Community for help, but could not come up with anything. Why don't these companies leave well enough alone? Glad to hear I am not the only one in this boat.
