Gauntlet tossed at last
a creative time
What joy to zap the last post!
:-))

Days still cold - soon warm

Pot of beans on the stove top

Fragrance to heaven

The rules of haiku ..
Are five then seven then five..
A picture with words...

Days STILL cold - soon warm

Pot of beans is long consumed

Fragrance to heaven

Working hard all day
except when I check C-F
Have to take some breaks!

I just love Haikus
Creativity abounds
What a clever group!

You guys really crack me up
This is so much fun
Better than making meatloaf

I can't write haiku,
I feel totally brain dead
Time to go to bed.
:-)

Says "can't" yet she does --
paradox of Colleen OZ.
Count it out: she did!

ACK! I did 7-5-7 instead of 5-7-5! I may be kicked from the forum!!!
Sherry

Forgive me my friends
I will try to do better
Please don't kick me out

A warm purring lap cat
The dreaded work day is just ahead
Alas to leave CF friends

A warm and friendly smile
Drinking cold beer if only for awhile
Such will my day end

Tomorrow a new day arrives
Much the same as the one before
So greatful to have another

Such a life winter brings
Alone cold and longing for my friends
A fur ball comfort suspends

My boss is crazy
Yearning for my warm kitchen
Two more hours to go

(ooops. Make that three more hours to go. Okay, three hours and 13 minutes, but I not a clock watcher)

Miscounted the time
Wishful thinking on my part
Clock seems to be stuck

visions of lobster
all covered in butter
tasty treat indeed

fluffy scuffy socks
orange zigzag detailing
knitted peace engulfs

creamy brown candy
cruncy almond bites abound
sated women smile

She She you must stay
No one wants you to leave here
And miss all the fun!

Tasting the sweetness
Of Rob's candy so yummy
Resolutions gone... :(

Why does time at work
Go slower than molasses
Uphill in winter?

Hungry, but for what?
Check the back of fridge shelves where
Satisfaction lurks

Alone one more night
Tomorrow comes my best friend
Hubby-dubby-do.

Annie (LOL)

Annie cracks me up
Hubby Dubby Do indeed
Satire is her strength

She She that's strike 2
Haiku police are watching
Counting syllables! :)

Sheshe's haiku works
five and seven and five, yes
kathleen, count again

Math is hard for me
Numbers play with my old brain
Words are my best friend

Thank you May for that
I Could not bear being wrong
Twice in one fine day

Kathleen your are tired
Your brain is not functioning
Take a little nap :-) (just teasing)

CFers are funny!
Y'all crack me up every day
Keep 'em coming, hear?

I am loving this!
Laughing right out loud, I am
Haikus are da bomb.

Head is full of stuff -
Do I? Don't I? what to do?
Tomorrow, Scarlet!

CFers at work:
Working hard? Hardly working!
Whoa! Time to go home.

Satire is 3
At least here in my New "Yawk"
Excuse my accent...:)

I will write no more
Accent a disadvantage
Let's do Limericks...

Mammogram today
Cold hard plates that pinch and squeeze
Boobs are sore tonight.

Teen drive test today
Passed - insurance rates go up
Get off the roads, please

DS number one?
Bar mitzvah just yesterday.
Jessy, how time flies!

Sah Tie err is three?
Never would I have guess-ed
Kath uh leen you win.
(LOLOL)

There once was a girl from New Yawk
Who did art with a spoon, knife, and fawk
Table settings exquisite
I'd sure like to visit
At Kath uh leen's table I'd gawk

There was a gal named She She
Who said she'd come visit me..
I'd be so excited..
And greatly delighted
To have her dine at a table with me!

Now Gina who started this thread..
Wants to give me a bop on the head
To do Haiku was the deal
So you best do it I feel..
Or SheShe and I will be dead....

do what pleases you

rules were made to be broken

and recipes too...

There once a boy from Nantucket,
who said....

opps.....................................

these are great!

Pimple on my butt?
Someone get the camera
Picture in good taste?

guess it's time for bed. I am getting punchy

Cookies for breakfast
What the heck is wrong with me?
I really need help

Chocolate Chip Muffins
Oozing with melted chocolate
Eating them in bed

SheShe's run amok
Girl, you are out of control
Keep up the good work!

What? No new Haiku?
Is everybody tired?
Let's keep it going!

Kathleen, Ms. New Yorkah, is tired 2 syllables? :-)

stillness softly falls
blanketing thoughts with whiteness
The cold morning yawns

Jo (2 snow days in a row, and more snow on day 3)

Break time is over
Sherry is cracking the whip
Back to work all y'all!

Today is Friday
The weekend is almost here
I am so ready!

January Nine
It's seventy-five degrees
In Houston Texas

We don't want to hear
How warm it is in Texas
It's a blizzard here.

(almost)

jojoco
Dang, that was beautiful.

oh Sherry baby!

hot Earl Grey may warm those toes

it always works here

Sharon, I'm like you
But I did that yesterday
Colder than outside.

Annie

Almost time for Scotch
A long day cooking at church
Noodles upon sauce

Heavenly fragrance
Many peek into the door
Parmesan and meat

Tomorrow we bake
Today it rests in the cold
I think we made lots.
