On firefox menu, go to tools, clear recent history or use ctrl+shift+del keys on the keyboard. HTH.

I went to the FAQ here a few minutes ago because I also want to clear my cache.
With Firefox, it says to go to Tools then Options then Privacy then Clear All.

(In case you want to clear cookies: it says to go to Tools then to Options and then to Privacy.)

Bob, your browser has a cache that stores temporary internet files. I'll post a link for Microsoft Internet Explorer or you can google "browser cache" with the name of whatever browser you use. To post more than one pic at a time, just do whatever you do to post one pic ... then do it again with the next pic url in the same post. Hope this helps. Are you familiar with opening links 'in a new tab' instead of just clicking on them and then after reading, having to use the 'back' button? I find opening links in a new tab, and then X-ing them closed to be faster than using the back button. In fact, when going to a forum, and in reading the thread titles, I will often choose those I want to read and open numerous ones, all in new tabs. After reading them, I then X them out one by one.

"Just don't ever use the registry part unless you really know what you are doing." Stargazzer...Don't be afraid of the Registry Integrity option of CC. I've had this tool [CC] on my system for years and I've always checked off items under the Registry. Currently...the only items NOT checked off are "Fonts, Help Files and Run at Startup"...and that's purely personal choice because I have no need to worry about the first 2 and my paid version of AVG runs at start up...so I don't really need CC at that entry point. As a general suggestion to one and all...make sure to check for updates with this tool on a regular basis. Even though I have opted for automatic updates...I find that it rarely does so. I'm currently using the latest v.2.22.968 for Windows XP Pro SP3...and the new appearance is terrific. The first time I saw it...I was suspect because CC has always been rather non-decorative in nature. Now it's become one of the "Big Boys". ;-) It's really a fantastic, friendly/non invasive/non aggressive tool that plays well with MS and with my paid version of AVG. Anne

I don't have that problem but I don't have Safari (or a Mac). I suspect the blue square with white question mark indicates an image which isn't displaying. Of what, I don't know. Since you're losing the ability to click links, perhaps the image would overlay the entire page if it were to display. If so, I would bet you also lose the ability to scroll? If you right-click the square, do you get any clues? Myself, I'd probably try resetting Safari. Of course since you have the same problem on two machines it likely won't help but it's easy enough to try, won't hurt, and might help. Did you have the same problem before you updated Safari on the newer machine? If not, it might be a bug in the latest Safari. Does the problem occur using another browser such as Firefox? Firefox (Apple Store) I'm not a tech, just a regular user, so what I've written are just my initial thoughts/hunches/guesses. Hopefully someone else can be more helpful.

It will vary slightly depending on which version of Firefox you are using, but it's generally similar to the steps pointed out by others. It would be good to know what you want to accomplish. For example, if you are concerned about security and privacy, you might want to change a couple of other things. In Firefox 3.6, there's the option in the Privacy settings to "Never Remember History" and in the Security settings you can choose whether or not the browser remembers or doen't remember passwords.

Sorry, Jackie. I just tried to use the instructions from FAQ and didn't get very far.
So I did a Search on this forum to see if there were any other answers to cache clearing questions.
And I found an answer that worked!
It said:
"In Firefox click 'Tools' in the menu bar, then click on 'Clear recent history'. This will give you the option to select whatever you want to clear."
Then you should click to produce a check mark in front of Cache (make sure nothing else is checked) and then hit 'Clear Now'.

BTW, I also cleared my cookies at the same time as I cleared the cache. Saving a return trip.

Do you already use CCleaner? If you have the FF entries checked on the CC's application tab, CC will do it all for you.
