'Clearing my 'cache'? --what?--

I was going to post a photo of a "Darla Anita" seedling that bloomed for me for those who aren't really attracted to eyes. And it has a wonderful gold metallic ruffle all around it. But photobucket wouldn't allow me to click on the normal areas to post it on this forum. So I wrote them and they said they were having trouble and I should 'close my cache' and then it should work. I am not a computer wiz by any definition. I looked all over the photobucket site for a 'cache' and I didn't see any. I wish they could explain their how-to in terms a normal person can follow. Any how I figure the same has happened to some of you on here, so I am going to 'expose' my ignorance and see if someone who speaks lay language can tell me what to do to get it functional again. Thank you so much. And also, what is the trick for posting two or more photos on the same message. I see it done on here frequently, yet I haven't figured it out. Thanks. Bob

They probably want you to clear your internet cache, which is in the "Tools" > Internet Options menu if you are using Internet Explorer.

Bob, your browser has a cache that stores temporary internet files. I'll post a link for Microsoft Internet Explorer or you can google "browser cache" with the name of whatever browser you use.

To post more than one pic at a time, just do whatever you do to post one pic ... then do it again with the next pic url in the same post. Hope this helps.

carrie, You clearly have never worked in an environment like tarjey (lucky you!). Just try telling the incompetent above you in the "chain of command"--that is how these people talk--a plant might be mislabelled. A few years ago Wally world had some mostly mislabelled David Austin roses for sale. I tried to tell the clerk, and heard a long tale about how she had no control over what plants were ordered etc. etc., which I believe translates into "It is as much as my job is worth to criticize the Powers That Be." Partial shade for some roses might not be a bad idea in some So Cal. locations. I have found that I have to be very careful about which plants can take a western exposure. The effects of bright, afternoon sun are compounded by hot, drying wind in some places.

Spyware and virus infection is of course a possibility. I found Super AntiSpyware not overly impressive, but choice makes the world go round. Have you been adding and removing applications? Today when many applications are installed they want to be part of the startup and operate behind the scenes in some capacity causing slowdowns. If you have been removing applications a cluttered registry could cause a slow down. If you are uncomfortable using the Run line, CCleaner would do a fine job for you on Vista and all its nooks, cranies and corners. Just download and install it. Use the default settings. It's free and user friendly. There is also a registry cleaning tool which will allow you to create a backup if you so desire. Also, you can access the error checking utility by START>Computer>right click on the c/ drive> Properties>Tools>Error checking and then reboot. The same path will take you to a disk defragment if you so desire. DA

I've done it with my kids a couple of times. It's a lot of fun and the kids love it! A "treasure" can be a note, just some little trinkets, pencils, little toys or whatever. Usually you have to leave the treasure there, or sometimes (they will tell you) you can take a treasure, but must leave something in it's place. Most times, you are supposed to sign your initials on a little piece of paper and that's it. The fun is in trying to find it, not what the treasure is. Alot of people really enjoy putting a geocache on their property so they can watch you try to find the treasure. It's pretty funny (and a little weird to be snooping around someone's driveway or whatnot), but they usually know what you're up to. You really need to have a decent GPS.

Bob, to post more than one photo at a time, it helps to open your photobucket in a separate window, that way you can post as many as you like by switching back and forth from your forum window to your photobucket window, without having to close either window, thereby creating the ability to post more than one photo in your message. Hope this helps.

Bob,
I found that if you right click on the tag you want and then left click on select all, it will high lite the tag, then if you left click on it again and select copy it works. It seems to be working again now though.
