I had a tape called Ace Cannon's Christmas or something like that. It had several beautiful Christmas songs done with his saxaphone. I played it every year for a long time. One year I took it to work for our Christmas party and it disappeared. I have searched high and low for another one. I went to his web sight a couple of years ago and there were a couple with some Christmas songs on them, but not the same one I lost. My mother plays music at some local clubs and local gatherings. One night Ace Cannon was there playing too. Mom called me and I went to where they were. I was able to talk to Ace Cannon, but he said he had nothing to do with his marketing and inventory and said to try his web sight. I told him I already did, but with no luck. Frieda, re your question about school assemblies and Jerusalem in particular. It used to be the law that every school began each day with a form of religious 'observance'. As far as I know this is still the case, although the large 'secondary' schools get round it by claiming lack of space/time etc. But junior schools, even the non-denominational ones, will have a couple of prayers and a hymn plus 'announcements'. And C of E and RC kids will probably attend weekly/occasional services in their local church. Of course these days, as your friend says we have become a far more 'secular' country plus we have had a huge influx of people bringing in a wide range of faiths, all of which are meant to be catered for within the 'Religious Education' systems of each school area. RE is still taught as a 'lesson' up to exam standard. That is certainly how I learnt the words and tunes of so many hymns. As far as Jerusalem goes. I feel the words don't mean much on their own but with that wonderfully confidant Victorian music, it would be difficult not to be moved by hearing it sung en masse . . . have you ever been/or heard the 'Last Night of the Proms' from the Royal Albert Hall and large parks around the UK when Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory etc are sung by the thousands in the audience? I would recommend fiberglass over vinyl. 10+ years experience with Marvin Infinity fiberglass windows. They continue to perform and look as they did when installed. The home next door is on their second set of vinyl windows within a bit longer time frame. Several casement windows installed in fiberglass were not available in vinyl. Vinyl did not have the strength to support the glass size when open. When comparing the dimensions of the glass vs the frame the fiberglass option for any size offered significantly more glass and less frame than the vinyl. And Marvin has released a new line with even slimmer frames. The Modern Line has denser fiberglass framing material for more strength to get slimmer frames. The OP hasn't received any first hand reviews of WeatherBarr vinyl windows. I would ask the company for customers to contact from 10 years ago. Ask them for their experiences.
