WE could send you to one of the support forums specific for clean up but you must run the scans and tasks that are asked for us to see what is on the machine if we don't know then there is no way to help clean it. If zep is asking you to run something you can rest assured it is NOT something to hurt you it is to see what you have lurking on the pc. There is a difference between antivirus programs and all the other things you mentioned. You can only have one Antivirus program running at a time you have MSE that is fine. You can have several other anti malware programs on the pc because they do not run till you start them up and run a scan you only do one at a time. Malwarebytes is great be sure you update it prior to running the full scan weekly, another is superantispyware also update prior to running full scan. The other thing you should have is spywareblaster you just open it weekly and hit the update button then hit enable all protection so the shield turns green that is it it sits there and does it's thing. AVast scans everything as you do it so you really don't need it to scan like you used to the other types of AV. I set mine up on screensaver mode, that way it comes on and scans my pc when my screen saver comes on and when I go back to use the pc it stops where it was and then resumes again next time the screen saver comes on. How did you even schedule AVAST to scan? That is NOT normal for AVAST to be doing full scans like that you had to have some how changed the default settings. My question is are you sure it is doing a full scan? could you be seeing it turning and think it is doing a full scan when in actuality it is simply doing real time scanning as it should be. The icon will spin and say scanning anytime you go to a new web page as it scans that page, it will do it when you go to email, it will do it if you download something. It does real time scanning as you are working.

Ran all three programs. I already had Superantispyware free on my computer and ran that first. It didn't find anything but cookies, which it deleted.
