How often do you water and for how long? How high/low do you mow? The weeds can be handled by something like Spectracide with Atrazine. But I would wait until the grass returns. I have gotten excellent results for fungal disease using ordinary corn meal. It is an organic approach that the experts at Texas A&M swear up and down does not work, but it has worked for me every year since 2002. It is a complete cure in 3 weeks. I am suggesting you try that because corn meal doubles as an organic fertilizer. Your spots don't look that much like a disease, but it could be. If you did not have the really healthy stand of grass right by the sidewalk, it would look more like disease. I would hit it with corn meal at 20 pounds per 1,000 square feet now and again in 3 weeks. If you don't see new grass coming up in 4 weeks, then get a commercial fungicide that works in your heat/precipitation zone - read the label closely to see how to apply and when. Corn meal has no restrictions on how or when. Then once you get the grass growing, zap the dollar weed (I assume dichondra or some other easy weed) and let it grow. And if you have not already raised your mower to the highest setting, do that yesterday.

I am for ever trying to shape my fern.It is very large and I win every year in events such as the fair and such.?The only shaping I can even do to mine is fluff it up and untangle some of the linbs to form a prietier shape.Its actually fun when I am about a month out from showing time.////////But do pinch off all dead stims at their base so new growth can develelope and they will.To make sure you get the greenest fern you must not leave them exposed to heat.It will dull your fern no matter how much water etc you give it.

I don't see why it's such a big deal. My son spent holidays with his dad, we'd plan to celebrate the next weekend. I have made a Turkey feast on an alternate day (our entire family even celebrated Turkey Day a week early two years ago when my other son was having surgery to remove a tumor from his jaw, so it had nothing to do with custody/visitation issues) Why stress out over what day you celebrate on? As long as your stepson has a good time, that's all that should matter. If he feels (and most kids do) the tension and frustration from his dad or you that he is going to be at his mom's, he probably won't be able to enjoy himself. He's going to feel guilty because he's the reason for the uproar. He will feel responsible, no matter what anyone tells him. and it makes me laugh about the 'my kid'. My parents, to this day, will claim us as 'my kid' or 'your kid' depending on the achievement or disappointment. Nobody gives it a second thought and it's not that big a deal. I mean, the day my brother graduated the police academy and was sworn in, my mom tells my dad "we did a GREAT job, didn't we?" (they were divorced at the time) and my dad didn't say a word. Later, he laughed about her comment because she had spent most of my brother's high school years in a drunken stupor. She really had nothing to do with his 'success' but dad just laughed it off. I guess he could have been angry she said that. But, like he says "what for?" When we do good, it's 'MY kid did that!' and when we screw up, it's 'look what YOUR kid did!' It's great that as adults, my parents are able to get together for holidays and while I think it took a lot of maturity on my dad's side, my mom has also learned how to behave herself and get along.

I will go check out some of the fridges, and see if I can find one that will work with just a 3"-4" filler. Oceanbaby, if you haven't yet purchased your fridge, this might not be a problem for you. As paulines and others have mentioned here when this has come up, there are refrigerators that require less door opening space than others. Some are fine at 90 degrees, others just a little more. Get the info on these fridges from those folks and start shopping! Like rhome410, I have only had refrigerators that required the door to open more than 90 degrees. A lot of other folks have also expressed their frustration with a design that didn't allow them access into their refrigerator drawers. You should also find out what fridges they had. My current fridge (a KA counter-depth side-by-side) requires the door to be open much more than 90 degrees to open the drawers at all--not just for cleaning. I would not want to have to remove the shelves on the door every time I wanted in one of my drawers. As much as I love this fridge, I would have to tell you to avoid it in your kitchen.
