Thank you, maire_cate for your nice note. I just rec'd a resolution and definitely wanted to follow-up here for Thermador Freedom freezer searches. So the yokel with whom I'd spoken 7/19 in Thermador's customer service, who told me there are no supervisors, that they manage themselves, was wrong. He'd told me the only way I could potentially get help was to send an e-mail to a generic e-ddress. I immediately did and one week later rec'd a response saying "we cannot help you with that. You'll need to call the service center." So back to where I started. So I did just that. I called again and this time got a gal who thought it was hilarious I'd been told they have no supervisors, that they manage themselves. She said "how fabulous!" I gave her my spiel, inc. the day and time I'd made my initial call (because that person hadn't noted my call in my file, as is SOP @ Thermador) and she got on it tout de suite. Within three hours she called me back, saying she'd presented my case (inc. our continuing service issues with this unit) to her supervisor and they agreed to cover the cost of the new ice maker -- not the labor, but the unit itself. Fine, great! Because I was ticked about the way we were initially treated by Thermador and the fact that we have had such ongoing, catastrophic issues with this freezer I wanted to share that with potential Thermador users. It is now only fair and right to let you know we had a satisfactory and fair result. Thermador did the right thing, and as we all know that can be quite rare ....

Are you viewing this as your project is being worked on? I have found that until the project is completed and burned - it doesn't look all that crisp. I burn my project to DVD using Roxio. When I view it on a HDTV - it looks great. But, while working on it and viewing it - not so great. I also don't have the problems of pictures being cut off, like I do in other slideshow makers.

This can be a result of having third-party CD-writing software installed that does not work properly with the CD-writing functionality of Windows XP, or of having a recordable CD that has already been written. To resolve this issue, try one of the following  If you have an HP DVD+R/+RW DVD writer installed on your computer, the HP Direct Letter Access (DLA) driver might be installed on your computer. You can turn off DLA, which should let you successfully save your movie to a recordable CD.  Verify that the CD was not already written to using a third-party CD-writing program such as Nero. Movie Maker expects a CD to have a Joliet (mode 2) disc format. However, some CD-writing programs write discs using a different format. To solve the problem, insert a new, blank recordable CD.
