Aveo, when you first posted this, I started researching it, then got sidetracked...and confused myself with info, so figured I'd wait for your pix. Since you haven't yet posted any, I'll just throw out a few thoughts. When you bought the one you got as Huernia Keniensis Lake Barad, was it from eBay? I found a listing somewhat similar. What I did note, was that it showed Barad as the person who discovered this species (if I'm correct) & it was found at Lake Naivasha, Kenya (absolutelycactus was the seller and they are notorious for misinformation & using others' photos without permission). BTW, the species name (2nd word) is never capitalized, so it should be Huernia keniensis. This species is variable. You can see some fine examples at the link below. I'm not sure if you still have to join/become a member in order to access the database. The site is an invaluable tool with beautiful photos! Huernia pendula does hang down, but its bumps are not pointed-I don't think. As for down/uploading pix to Photobucket, I always resize mine before I upload because I don't want to post huge pix online. I've had my pix used without permission on others' websites. They don't usually want to steal small pix. Without getting into it too much, there are some differences between free Photobucket accts & pro (paid) accts. The free accts have only (what they call) "web-sized" images & the pro accts have both the "web-sized" & your original size photos stored. They automatically reduce/resize large pix on the free accts. In the pro accts, you can choose a setting for web-sized copies of your photos to link and share. (up to 4000x3000, but they recommend 1024x768, faster load times) On the free accts the largest web-size is 2048x1536. You need to set your upload options. If you're using your pix for your own website, of course you'd want the larger pix/higher resolution! I have to run now!....looking forward to seeing pix, Aveo! They aren't on a clock, Bob. They don't punch time cards. ;) Like I said above - "assuming proper soil and air temps and adequate light..." So watch yours and take notes and then you'll know how soon it happens given the conditions you have provided for them. ;) Since most of us start our plants no more than 6-8 weeks before transplanting date I would be worried about plants that still had no true leaves after 30 days and were supposed to go in the ground in 2 weeks! But that is just the experience of that one person - whomever they are. We have no way of knowing what starting mix she used, how fresh her seeds were, how she germinated them, how she watered, whether she heated the soil or not, whether she had transplanted them yet or not, air temps, light provided, etc. etc. etc. So all I can offer is that based on my experience, something she had or had not done resulted in slow growing seedlings. Steve I am running Acronis True Image version 7. I had done full backups of my computers too as well as created emergency start up disks. During the set up for the back up you were asked the size of the splits in the backup. During my first attempt I did that and needed 9 CDs because it did not allow me to set it for DVDs (perhaps version 10 has got more modern and allows that?) Yours, if DVD splits are acceptable in V10 would be 4.3 gigs perhaps. Afterwards I did not set it for splits but instead copied it to another hard drive as one file. When you attempted the back up did you put the last CD or DVD in first? This is an important point and must be followed. If you had the new, larger hard drive installed as well as the old one why didn't you elect to use the new one as the master drive and restore the whole image to that? Then you could have removed the operating system from the old drive and use that drive as a back up. I would think trying to restore a program to another hard drive or partition while retaining the operating system elsewhere would be beyond the scope of Acronis because as item #2 in your post suggests the image is created with all the programs, operating system and registry all on the one drive. I got into big time trouble last week and needed to restore the image. Well that was not about to happen. Rather than try explaining here you might click the link below to where I asked for help with Acronis. Please be sure to click the link provided by NPMCL in post #7 (to Wilders Security) as it contains a wealth of valuable information besides what help I received. You may indeed find the whole thread of interest, It may not address your immediate issues. I am a little wiser now - and hopefully much safer as I had relied on Acronis more than perhaps I should have done and not backed up my data at intervals. Basically yes they both do the same job. Now I have never tried doing a recovery with the Windows 7 backup but neither have I read of any issues by other users. For the record I have never tried or needed to do a recovery using Acronis. A backup program is one of those programs that is wise to use to create an image but we hope we never have to. On my Windows 7 I turned off the annoying reminder to back up my computer. I back up as and when the mood strikes me and perhaps it is not often enough but.........
