Dumb question

What kind of mouse mats do you prefer?? I a having a problem with my mouse skipping (doent want to go where I aim it) and I end up using a piece of ugly cardboard,as thats all I can find that wont make it skip.It happens with my cordless and corded both...any hints???

Switch to an optical mouse.
Then use any mat or no mat at all.

Is an optical the same as a cordless,,,with the little light?? I use both and they both skip.

Put it ALL in. What came out of the eavestrough is as you think it is, decomposed leaves. Its a great addition to your compost pile. Peanut Butter. If you think peanut butter is not what should be put into a compost pile of rotting garbage, then throw it away. Better still though, give it to your neighbors who will throw it into their compost pile. Don't be led down the garden path by scary stories of putting stuff in a compost pile that will harm it. Meat, if its buried deep, fish carcases, if its buried deep, milk solids, if its buried deep will decompose down as much as anything else. It just depends on how much goes in there and if you bury it under a lot of grass clippings, other food waste, leaves and soil, you've done well by your pile. All this food, don't let it go to waste. It all has microbes -- and I haven't met a dangerous microbe yet I wouldn't let eat in my compost pile.

Dumb question on how to clean glass on wood stove

Most products sold as oven cleaners are based on lye, a highly alkaline chemical which can priduce severe burns on human skin. Spraying it on a stll warm surface - which is strongly not recommended for any cleaner by all wood stove manufacturers - can also release toxic vapor. Using this product for cleaning stove glass is dangerous to the ceramic itself and the person using it. The best practice is to avoid creosote deposits on the glass by using well seasoned wood, burning hot fires, avoiding smoldering fires with too little oxygen, wiping with wood ashes when necessary. Cleaners made specifically for wood stove glass - the one from Rutland is very good - can be used for a more thorough cleaning when the glass has fully cooled. Keeping the glass clean is important because the chemicals in creosote can permanently etch the ceramic if left on for long periods. If you are routinely getting creosote deposits, the culprit is almost always too green wood and/or too little oxygen.

I have the Frederick (from Annie's Annuals, so I'm sure that's the correct name.) It's about 5 years old and producing some fruit now - though not enough for me as I love it so much! It has the exact sweet/tart flavor I expect from visiting Hawaii, and eating things made from passionfruit. I would not want it more sweet. I am trying to order more, but it's out of stock all over. I am considering getting a Purple Possum, but not sure I will like the fruit as much, nor if it will be as hardy in my Northern California Bay Area climate. Guess there's only one way to find out! But the only place left will cost me $70 with shipping, so I am still hestitating!

since it covers about half of my 5 acres ... i dont know why anyone would plant it ... when the kids were younger.. and barefoot all summer ... they had these burn like sores better their toes .. from running thru the flower stalks .. took me a while to figure that out ... so im out the in july and august mowing a completely browned out lawn [questionable term there] .. kicking up a dust storm.. just to cut the stalks off this nightmare plant .. the upside is.. they are the only thing green that time of year.. so it looked like i had a lawn .. people will pay money for anything.. i swear .. lol .. i bought one once at a plant auction.. is was variegated.. lol .. it was a donation to a cause.. so we all got a laugh out of buy a variegated weed ... so.. if you cost was to the church.. thats ok with me ... but if it was to the benefit of the seller.. well ... that peep might never be my garden friend ... as to the hosta reference above .. that was an idiot rogue name for hosta .. only surpassed by calling it a lily ... as much as i loathe the nomenclature peeps for changing the names of my favorite plants ... in this case.. i understand why it need be done at times ... ken

Optical has a led light on the bottom and no balls.

I still like standard mouse pads even with an optical mouse. Heavy rubber backed kind that are like cloth on the working surface.

I use a solid black mousepad - seems to have better results when I am trying to do some "fine" work when I am editing pictures.

My mouse was acting really choppy for a while - I had been using a cordless optical mouse, but went back to a corded optical mouse.

Go to your CONTROL PANEL and check to see what your MOUSE is set to. Mine was set on the wrong type. When I selected BASIC OPTICAL MOUSE everything started working smoothly again.

You can also change some of the settings and speeds at this panel.

My man has Laser Mouse by Logitech,3 years now and he uses it on a rubber pad. No problems.

I use microsoft mouse with a wire ..No balls and just a red light under it .. No pad , just he hard board of the computer desk.. Neither one skip, or ever did.

Erratic movement usually has nothing to do with the mouse pad. If you have a mouse with a ball, have you ever cleaned it? If you turn this kind of mouse upside down, you will see a circular piece of plastic that surrounds the ball. If you apply a little pressure, you can rotate it a 1/4 turn or so and get it and the ball to drop out. Then look at the interior and clean all the lint and crap off the interior and the little rollers; then reassemble.
