Is this a laptop? If yes, my choice would be to take it somewhere where you can use free wi-fi and do the update. When you start deciding which updates you think you can do without, it sometimes comes back to bite you. No doubt you're safe to ignore for now if you really don't use IE, but if something does go wrong with the browser you do use you may need IE to help fix things.

Azinoh...yes, laptop. I have FF, Chrome and Opera on board. I'd uninstall IE if I thought it wouldn't do damage to my OS.

Having said all that, I'll take your advice and hit a local coffee-shop.

Internet Explorer, think it is always wise to keep it updated. There are some programs that use part of it to access the net. Its good to keep it secure and working correctly or they lose their security and some wont work right without IE..
