I do not have an answer but rather an observation. There *s h o u l d* be a way. But it depends how complex or expensive the solution might be. For example, I notice that my desktop at work gets synchronized with my home PC so all folders always have the same content. Now granted, people at work might have done a lot of things without telling me that makes this seamless, piece-of-cake looking to me. Your two mail programs are accessing mail files located in each pc and that is what makes them be not in sync. If pc1 could access the mail file in pc2 instead of the mail file in pc2, that would help. Or if both could access the mail file by storing it on an external hard drive, maybe that would help. Let's see if one of the gurus here can give some advice. I have a new pc that could need this feature.

I just upgraded to Vista Ultimate a few weeks ago. On the pro side, Vista loads and shuts down faster then XP Pro. It seems to work better with most of my applications. It definitely works better with Office 2007, which was slow with XP. I have not had any operational problems. I did have a problem with the Firewall of Microsoft's Live OneCare, but found the solution in a Web search. The only cons of Vista was a lack of support for my five year old lexmark printer. Lexmark has informed me that they will not provide Vista drivers for a "legacy" printer. No more Lexmark printers for me!!!!! I just purchased a Canon printer on eBay. Vista is supported and the Canon has better features and cheaper ink. I work in the computer field and will have to deal with Vista, so I had some incentitive to upgrade. So far, I've had many more problems with XP Service Pack 2.

I think at this time I would block it and hold off to see if maybe it gets fixed, I would use extreme caution in doing the update and read this ongoing blog about some of the results that can occur including losing all address book contacts. My issues mainly have to do with adding contacts in the contacts section of Window Mail and composing emails using saved email addresses. 1) In OE, when I'm composing an email to someone, I can just type the first two letters of the receipient's name or email address, and the full address would pop up in the "TO" area. In Windows Mail, I can do this if I compose emails to the same people all the time, but if I don't compose an email to the same person for a week or so, it no longer pops up. I have to search for their address - it doesn't pop up when entering the first 2 letters. This is a pain in the a** especially when I have hundreds of business contacts and can be very time consuming when sending the same email to numerous people. 2) I have folders for all my "types" of subcontractors. I can't drag and drop entries from one category to another. In other words, if I want to move one of them to a different category, I can't. I have to retype all the info in the contacts section. This is a huge problem. In Express, I could drag and drop easily. 3) Another problem is that continually, when I enter a new contact and all their info, then hit "ok" to accept it and add to the list of other contacts, it doesn't show up. I've had to enter the same info 2 or 3 times before it finally appears where it should. This is a huge problem because I keep long notes on all my subcontractors for reference. This was not an issue with Express. These are tbe 3 main issues I can think of right now.
