GOOD TIMING, Jim!!! I was going to post tonight asking where the heck you'd been and where were the photos of your holiday decorating. I was beginning to think little Catzilla had derailed Christmas at your house and you'd given up on it this year! LOL
Whew, sure glad I was wrong. Photos are wonderful, a feast for the eyes. I keep looking trying to take it all in, which is impossible. Oh to see this in person...can't even imagine that!

Thanks everyone. It does take a while to decorate. I'm slowly putting it away. My snowmen I usually leave out to sometime February. But this year I don't know. We sure haven't had a winter hardly at all. Today it was 60. williamsburgjane, I know that is silly to have the orange juice can in with the Christmas pics. I put it in their to be with my Hoosier cabinet. I didn't want to loose the pic. The Hoosier cabinet was my grandma's and I had asked my mom to save me that orange juice can. My grandma kept it in the Hoosier, that is what she cut her biscuits out with. I'm thinking that can has to be at least 35 years or not older. Cheri

Thank you Cheryl..I enjoyed this site and especially the Crystal Tree. How spectacular. I was reading about Crazymike, and he sounds like a very caring person. He not only loves to decorate, but invite people who are less fortunate, to enjoy a meal and also his trees. I'm saving this site to go back to and enjoy again. TFS jane

Some Christmas Decorations

Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my homemade decorations, they made me smile. This was simple to make and I just used things I already had in my craft room. I first cut out the Christmas card pic and glued that to the mason jar using Modge Podge glue (you could use Tacky Glue also), it's a bit thicker than Elmer's Glue, and let it dry overnight. I next painted the jar a brown color pouncing it on using a sponge brush. Let the first coat dry some and give it another coat. While the paint is wet, sprinkle the jar with Diamond Dust. I then put the jar on a dowel stick and let it dry overnight. The candy canes are red & white chenile stems. The snowballs are small styrofoam balls of course. Stick a good size length of floral wire into them for something to hold onto and cover with some wall spackle. While wet, sprinkle them with, you guessed it, yup, Diamond Dust. Can you tell I just love that Diamond Dust stuff. Stick the floral wire into some styrofoam and let them dry overnight also. The next day and the paint on the jar is dry, I tied a piece of homespun fabric around the jar lid. It was easier to tie on the fabric now and it's out of the way. The rest of the stuff in the jar is just a mixture of Chrismtas greenery; pinecones, some small ones and some medium size ones; red & mustard colored pip berry stems; a few cinnamon sticks, some red fuzzy floral thingys (I have no idea what to call them, LOL), and a metal star spray. I hot-glued it all into the jar starting with the greenery (put the hot-glue around the rim and then add the greenery pieces, it'll dry real fast). I then just hot glued the other stuff and stuck it in here and there. As for a selling price Di, I think it's just a matter of what you think folks are willing to pay. Some crafters would price it based on the cost of their materials and then double it for their time. Sal

The williamsburg catalog features a wrought iron wreath hanger that has a row of round circles at the bottom that hold apples or oranges (which are sort of splayed out on the top edge of the wreath as hung) and they make it look like you've created a W'burg original! I gave these to all the women in our family one year who like to decorate with real materials. We lived in Florida at the time and fruit on the front door was just an invitation to pests, but now that we're in a colder climate ... thanks for jogging my memory.

Jim, amazing decorating there. Love that your shades have matching ribbons! You have some gorgeous florals and Santas too. All looking very lush and "over the top". Like Karen, I've looked back a couple of times to take it all in. Really love your different shaped apothecary jars too. Hope you had fun doing it. (Where on earth do you store it all?) Luvs

WOW!!!!

Amazing!! Simply gorgeous -- my fav is the chandelier with its tartan accents -- really lovely!

Yes -- indeed -- worthy of ANY magazine!

Inquiring minds want to know -- just WHERE do you stash all these wonderful holiday treats during the year?? In my tiny house -- I can't fit another ball into a drawer! LOL! :)

Absolutely marvelous. I am so glad you showed up with your wonderful stash of pictures. I have looked everyday looking for them. But! They were well worth the wait. Just gawgeous! I mean it. Where and how have you found so many wonderful dogs and Santas? Amazingly wonderful.
