Bathroom Remodel- White Subway and Carrara Marble
Comments (13)Beautiful, are you happy with the marble countertops? we are starting a remodel of our master bathroom and marble was our first choice but everyone has discouraged us from using it. Now we are second guessing ourselves. Could you tell me what you used for the floor? I do love your remodel and thanks for info on fixtures, lights, etc...See Morecalling those with white subway tile bathrooms....
Comments (14)thanks for the responses and pictures! still not sure nancynj which color...i've got 3x6 dal tile white subway tiles, black pencil liner and white trims. i was initially thinking blue, but then i saw a picture of a bathrm that had a black pencil liner with the subway tile that was painted green which was nice too. we're still needing to make a final decision about floors and one thought were grey tiles that might make it look more modern so considering a greyish lavender color that i havent quite found yet. ahhh...we're doing an extensive house remodel so this is just one of many many decisions that have to be made...head is spinning!...See MoreTEC Power Grout? What color grout for white subway tiles in bathroom
Comments (6)Guest bathroom shower surround, glossy white tiles, "regular" TEC grout, 2008 I think. MB and hall bathroom tub surrounds, glossy white tiles, TEC XT grout, 2011. No issues. The XT grout doesn't require sealing, but can be, using a solvent based sealer. We have moderately hard water. We wipe down the tub surrounds with a microfiber cloth after showering (to prevent water spots on the glossy tile). I clean the bathrooms pretty much weekly. I spray the tub surrounds with 7th Generation disinfecting bathroom cleaner spray. Let sit a few minutes, and wipe dry with a microfiber cloth. Tile and grout look as they did when first installed....See MoreWhite Subway Tile in both Kitchen and Bathroom?
Comments (15)Thanks everyone! I also dont love Christina's style on Flip or Flop and I think it's boring to have the same tile in both places. The problem is I want light gray (pavilion gray farrow & ball) cabinets in the kitchen, and I have never seen a single inspiration pic on houzz or otherwise that shows a convincing non-white tile to go with light gray cabinets. Especially because we are having soapstone countertops, I don't want the kitchen to look too dark. I think I might look into different shapes of white tile as EAM44 suggested or take my pavilion gray paint chip to the tile store and see if there is any tile that looks good with it....See More- 14 years ago
