Just beautiful! Not that I'm surprised. It was so fun to come here tonight, tired and wanting to rest a few minutes and have your beautiful slide show to watch.

Tell DH his village was amazing too. You have a beautiful home inside and out and it looks like it does here. We got a few inches of snow here today. Have to drive to the airpost tomorrow on some bad roads to fly out but it will be worth it.

I'm doing much better now...

You REALLY quit talking to yourself? WOW, that's as impressive as your decorating. (the day I quit talking to myself, I'll be 6 ft under).

I love everything, its wonderful. That Village of your DH's amazed me last year, and no different this time. What a huge amount of work and love involved in setting it up. I'd never want to take it down.

I wanted to 'save' the photo of the teddy bears peering over the railing, but your slideshow won't let me do it. Darn.

I swear, that's the ONLY way I keep myself
organized is by 'Talking to Myself'.who else would listen?
I'm convinced when it comes to DH...
not hearing a word I say,
that it's probably the 'Other Guy' who I told.

I can post the teddy bear pic seperately if you'd like.
There is a way to stop the slideshow and go back and forth, by clicking on the picture. Have you tried that?

My other slide show is posted too and that one works too..
It's the one with the (yippie) in the heading.
If I had fireworks I would have set them off, I was so releived to get it done.

I'm now having Photobucket ARRRGGGGHHHH Moments. I can stop the photos and see individually, but it still won't let me save the teddy bear picture. It will let me save or send the whole slideshow, that's all the toolbar does.
Usually I can save easily in Photobucket but this one has defeated me. LOL.

The village is amazing!! I could hear all the 'hustle & bustle', children laughing, sleigh bells ringing, the traffic, all the sounds of the holidays. Job well done!!

I finally got to see some of your beeeutiful pics! Tried a couple of days ago and couldn't get the slideshow to work. Even now it seems to skip back and forth and sometimes go too fast and other times stop but that might be my system. Anyhoo love it all - your white hutch is fantastic - all your lovely dishes and vintage toys, oh my! the bears are beyond adorable (guess I'll have to let all mine out of the closet!), and it's just all wonderfully Christmassy. Thanks so much, glad I finally got to see it. Gonna go check your other threads and keep my fingers crossed.

Wow! Everything looks wonderful. I love the look from the top of the stairs looking down into the family room at the mantle & Christmas tree. Your village looks fantastic. What a terrific display.
I taught for many years but was never very sentimental about the ornaments I received. Now I wish I'd been more careful about saving & labeling them.

Love the village - thank you for sharing and putting me in the Christmas mood today! I too could hear the hustle and bustle around the village.

You inspired me to go find all 3 of our village houses ;-) to put under the kids tree for the holiday train to chug around. I wasn't going to use them this year until I realized the kids would enjoy see them while playing with the train. I should probably put a white tree skirt under them.

Has anyone seen those old fashion tree skirts that were some kind of quilt batting type material with glitter on top to look like snow? That would be perfect for under my houses. I might even be inspired to add more stuff then.

LOL - after writing that I realized I could go buy quilt batting and sprinkle some glitter on top myself!

gldnfan, I just bought the snow blanket from Michaels. It has the glitter already in it. And while not cloth, it works perfect under the Villages and stuff.

Wonderful! I adore the village. It was wonderful last year, too. Since your DH and mine have a lot in common, I'll have to get some houses and let him go to work! Right up his alley. I love the boy making the snow angel.

And your white hutch with the transferware and flying Santa is SOOO pretty. I keep hoping to find some Christmas-like transferware in the thrift shops or sales, but so far no luck. After seeing your magazine-worthy display I'll double my efforts!

As your talking to yourself...I thought everybody did. I have always chattered to myself all day long and never even realized it until DH, early in our relationship, remarked on it...

I thought about you when I got my 'night before Christmas' dishes out. Did you ever come across any of those??? They are red and white transferware for Christmas. I don't have a lot of pieces, but they are so pretty.
Thanks for working so hard to post your slideshow...everything is wonderful!!! Tell you DH he is a genius...I know how hard it is to get that all going the right way :^)
And go ahead and talk to yourself...that's the only way you will get the right answers!!

gardner...Glad you enjoyed the Village. DH had help this year. Our DGson came to help out, and I can't believe they did it all in one weekend! Usually it takes DH at least a week to do it. DGson remembered Exactly where everything went from last year (amazing) and they whipped it together so fast.

luckygal... Whenever I don't put those bears out, I feel guilty..I feel they're 'Waiting' all year and know when it's time... I hate to disappoint them! Ha!
So, take your guys out to play.

It brings back nice memories when I hang them. I
can remember the faces of the kids that are 'connected' to them. Some of their parents, still keep in touch with me.

My fondest memories of Christmas as a kid, was when my brother and I played with our train set under the tree.
The snow I have under the tree is one of those 'glittery' blankets.
I bought mine at Walmart a couple of years ago. I see them all over..even CVS & Walgreens.

As far as DH's village...all it took was him getting 2 as a gift one year..and now you see the results. He says he doesn't have any more room for more buildings...but enjoys finding new figures and other accessories.

jay...thanks for the site on those dishes.. I've never seen them before, and they're beautiful. I bought 4 of the Johnson Christmas tree, at Marshalls..but I'm not too crazy about them and I'm thinking of returning them.
I do love the ones you're showing...more to my liking.

Jane, I caught DH while he was on his computer checking movie times yesterday so I had him pull up this post. That village is just adorable, so many cute things to look at in it. I too loved your white cabinet with the red transferware. Now I want to look at the other slideshow post too, but will have to wait until DH opens it on his computer for me. Sure wish my laptop would accept Flash player, but it won't. Thanks for all your hard work sharing your pics with us. Yep, I mumble to myself all the time--otherwise I get sidetracked too easily.

It also reminds me of 'It's A Wonderful Life'..a place were I think everyone would love to be.

You know what attitude does, right? I've always heard it's ok to talk to yourself as long as you don't answer. I believe it's wonderful therapy for all. Like there is no such thing as a stupid question. I always use that with our customers!!!

So sorry I can't say I won some money for you while vacationing in Vegas. I did spend some for you! They took every penny I offered. However, I didn't loose on everything while there. In fact I think I gained 10 pounds. The food was wonderful!!!

It was a great trip and so nice to get away. It was so fun to run into some of our customers down there. It was great quality time for DB and our families.

I'm going to go back and take another look at your slide shows after the Holiday. I don't remember what your table looked like and I don't want to miss out on anything.

DS came down tonight and joined us for dinner. I plan to get up early and head to the city to Christmas shop. I ask for some items for my tablescapes for Christmas so I'll have to wait and see if Santa is good to me.
