Possible to install Cover Control disposer on a Shaw Sink?

I've searched all over the forums and haven't found an answer to this one. Is it possible to install an Insinkerator Evolution Pro Cover Control disposer on a Shaw 3018 sink? If so, would it install using the extended flange, or is there a different flange needed? I read somewhere about an easy-to-install twist-lock mount, but I have no idea whether that is needed in addition to the extension flange or in place of it.

Also, I can't figure out whether you still need a light switch or an air switch with a cover control disposer? Or, does it just turn on automatically when you turn the stopper to 90 degrees? I've never operated one of these, so I have no idea... just thought the safety feature might make sense in a household with toddlers.
