Norton Go Back - uninstalling??

5 yr old XP 512Ram Dell. Norton AV w/ Norton Go Back expired and I uninstalled Norton AV, but it left Norton Go Back. I left it there thinking it is a good back-up. Today I get a warning - Norton Go-Back is 89% full. I had no idea what that meant, so I went to Add-Remove and tried to uninstall it. A screen came up showing %'s and slowly got to 49% and stopped. It stayed that way for hours and the computer froze.

I went to Task Manager to end process and got a window telling me my machine Crashed because of uninstalling Norton Go-Back. The computer appeared as if in 'safe mode.' It asked me if I wanted to continue to uninstall Go Back, and I clicked NO.

Now everything works, I don't know what I should do. Does anyone know anything about this Go-Back business and did I do something serious?

Jane
