you can try resizing the browser page, only have one browser instance open, go to the bottom corners and put your cursor there till it turns into a double arrow then drag the corner out from both sides till you have it the size you want it. then go up to file and close window there. that should close out the entire browser, now when you restart the browser it should retain that size.
Let us know if that works or not.

No, it didnt work. There is no [lace to drag and no arrows appear to do so with. I have Internet Explorer...

There's little faint slash marks in the lower RH corner. Even on this page. LOOK closer. Grady

they are there you just have to get the mouse cursor over them they look like a little triangle of lines in the corners just click and hold down the mouse button and drag.

You can also try this if possible for Ie
To increase or change the size, click on the Restore button, the middle one in the upper right hand corner of the toolbar.

If you do not mind always having maximized IE windows, another approach is to edit the IE shortcut. Right-click on the shortcut that you use for IE and choose properties in the context menu. In the drop-down menu for "Run" select "Maximized". (Secondary IE windows will not inherit this setting).

If it's just the text that's too small, click on View and hover your cursor over Text Size, click on Larger or Largest. I may have misunderstood your dilemna based on other answers though.

yep when caroline said the web pages open up too small I assumed she meant they are not opening full screen but only part of the screen, that is entirely different than the text and font size being too small, so lets get some clarification, exactly what is the problem you are having?

In my browsers, I change the webpage font to Tahoma which is slighly larger and clearer .. in Control Panel / Internet Options.

I think xp you can right click desktop and do properties... then play around ... Change the screen resolution to lower numbers if that is an option. That will make everything appear larger.

Also maybe possibly might adjust the screen fonts to a larger dpi number. That will increase the size of all the text/written words and spacings.

Anything you change, write down the original setting and maybe also note how to get to that setting.

I don't think you will be able to adjust your screen to fit that forum. There are some websites that are formatted in certain ways that they will not go full screen on wide screen computers. Internet Movie Database, IMDB, changed their web format last year and shows up the same way as your forum does. There were many, many complaints on the message boards over there but the website owners would not make any changes. If other sites you visit are coming up as full screen, then the problem is with the website and not your computer.

wide screens are often used to view 2 webpages open side by side and when viewing just one you will run into problems like you are having, and as stated some websites just plain do not fit they are set up in a specific template and that is how they come up on widescreen.

You can right click the desktop> properties> go to the resolutions settings area> advanced button> and set dpi to a larger number.

also as stated in your browser you can change the font type and size for all websites you view.
