I was just nervous about all the hype and bugs, but finally upgraded to IE7..just this a.m. I like it for now and feel it was worth the risk...my computer is flying high! your experiences pro or con?

It's pretty much a must switch by now. The older versions are not being supported by MSoft anymore. Good move.

I have Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 which came out March 5th.
So far so good.
IE is only used here for Windows Updates.
imnsho, who needs to use IE when there are much faster and secure browsers around.

Congrats on making the leap, you'll really like tabbed browsing.

Haha - you are trying to get rid of cats and we are trying to get more cats around to control the vole population! Our problem was that our dog chased the Farrell cats out of our yard so the Vole population increased causing damage to our lawn, garden and barnyard. We like cats but mostly because they like voles! We tried capturing a Ferrell kitten and tried to domesticate her - that didn't work - her instincts were not trainable. We solved the problem by getting a female kitten (Muffy) from a neighbor and raised and trained her for our needs. We feed her and she has a winter heated house on an elevated platform (about 5' high) out under our shed so dogs etc can't eat her food and she is not allowed in the house (water sprayed in her face upon attempted entry cured that), introduced her to our dog and trained our dog to get along with her and not chase her (we have an Aussie and one scolding was all it took)! They are pals now. Our cat does not bother the garden or poop in our raised beds - it must be that there is plenty of space in the field for that? Problem solved - our dog keeps the Farrell/neighbor cats (she still loves to chase away Farrell/neighbor cats) off the place and our cat tries to keep the voles under control. We need another cat or two though because we have a large yard and one cat isn't enough. We let her have a litter before we get her neutered so we can train another cat or two. This dog & cat combination is working great for us and the grandkids love to come see the kittens - we won't have any problem giving away this litter after we keep the kittens we want!!

daybees Here the way I would handle it. A rope sling under the back maybe with a couple poles like boat oars with two people on each side. Be very careful about applying any force or pressure at all on the face over the foam because it will be very easy to crush. If you have 4 lifters and someone to guide the tube into place you should be OK. Just remember once it is upright it is going to be very difficult to move it without damage. So keep it lying down on it's back until you are ready to tip it into place.

Chinch bugs like hot soil, so keeping the area cool with deep watering is key. It might need to be a little deeper next to the sidewalk and drive way. After you get them, it's different. I've never had them but I would try attracting birds to that area. Birds like bird baths and seed feeders. If you can't attract enough birds to the spot, then beneficial nematodes. I like the ones called Guardian Lawn Patrol or something like that. Company is in Colorado. Beneficial nematodes carry a disease that kills the bugs within 24 hours. Nobody tells you this but they must be applied to saturated soil. If you apply to dry soil, you just wasted your money.

Yea…Aga range is in place but not hooked up yet!SS behind range then tile sorry…not a very good picture. this is the light that hangs to the left of the range over the lower cabinets. Getting down to the small stuff now….touch up painting, adjusting cabinets…etc.

I've had IE 7 blocked but have been thinking I should DL it now too. Just removed the block and I thought that might lead to a DL site but it didn't. Where can I find it? Thanks, Sandy

Sandy, just go to Windows Update site and you should be able to download it from there.

IF YOU go for ie7, go with your old IE browser...
www.microsoft.com/ie
or download.microsoft.com
and probably see a big graphic button at either place to Get IE7

Keep in mind there's a few million people right now being updated with Vista SP1 that hit WU this afternoon ... so the server connection might be a bit slowed.

Thanks grandms & mikie. Actually, when I turned on the computer today there was a notice from MS to DL IE7. Must be huge, it took 5 min. with cable connection.

I like the ability to make print bigger and smaller. That always worked well on GW and email but didn't work on most sites. But now EVERYTHING is too big. This post, that looked normal last night now has me scrolling back and forth to read!

Hoping someone can lead me to a setting to change? Or maybe I should start a new thread? Sandy

One day was more than enough for me. Spent all day zooming in and out and back and forth. Much too hard on my eyes.

Good old add/remove got things back to normal, thank goodness. Sandy
