Here's an idea, take your xmas photo's from xmas 08,(mine is of outside & inside lights & decorations) put into slide show/movie maker, then into DVD maker, add carols etc. I put mine in red or green sleeves and they will go into family cards, about the 10th. of Dec., too early for 09's pics. but not many changes anyway, one added item each year for us...my DVD's turned out great, even added opening card and closing card,with mesage from us very kewl!! now family can play in DVD player on TV screen, added 5 carols, show runs about 15mins.

Coho, I posted on the other thread before I saw this. Several years ago, I purchased a computer that had Norton installed. I could not burn a DVD on that computer until after I removed every trace of Norton. When I called Tech support at Norton, they told me that it was a known problem, and sent me a refund check. That was many years ago however, and I wouldn't think they would still be having that problem.

CDs are used for storage but executable files can be ran from them - all you programs are loaded via the CD/DVD. Yes, all files burned to CD become read only and if you copy any back to your hard drive you will need to change the name if you intend to modify the file. I know nothing about re-writable CDs but I would suggest you erase everything when wiping it. Do not apologise for asking seemingly basic questions, asking is learning.
