I gave a few of those as gifts, but I don't think mine were the same, I don't know where the napkin would go??

As usual I forgot to take a picture of the table before dinner. So, I recreated the tablesetting as I was cleaning up today. I only had one spare photo frame - sorry no photo in it.

The dishes are Spode - Macy's has them. I think they're called Garland. I mix and match them with my Spode Christmas Tree.

Your table is beautiful! I'm saving this idea for next year. We had a small Xmas this year, but next year is our turn for the BIG Xmas; I'm going to get those photo frames. I have problems seating people, more with family than friends. I have a few oafish family members who think it's OK to sit wherever when there are so many considerations. We have 2 lefties to accommodate, 2 quite heavy folks who need an extra sturdy chair, and then I like my husband and me to be at the ends so we can supervise the kitchen and serving in an efficient manner. Great idea! I may even get some non-holiday frames for dinner parties this year...what a cute keepsake! What is your silver...it must be Gorham, as the salad forks are shaped like mine. Beautiful!

Thank you for your nice comments. I, too, have problems seating family. This is the first time I tried placecards and it worked pretty well. I was surprised how much everyone enjoyed the pictures. They all went around the whole table to look at everyone's photos. We found some silly shots of some and it was quite fun. And they all happily took them home. I, too, may try this with non holiday frames during the rest of the year. Got a few "extra points" for this idea. Yes, my silver is Gorham Chantilly. I've been gradually adding to it for years.

Delphinium, I love your placesetting. And your china pattern is very pretty. The napkin rings/place cards are perfect with your china also and what a cute idea to use family pics. I looked several places before Christmas for picture frame place card holders and never thought to look at Michaels.

Hi Delphinium...no wonder I love your table...Chantilly is my pattern, too! My mom picked out the pattern for me when I was a baby and she bought me pieces for birthdays and Christmases. I registered for it when I married and had service for 10. I buy up odd pieces and now have service for 22. I tell my little granddaughters (ages 4 and 9 months) that if they play their cards right, it will all be theirs! I love using it and polishing it, when it needs it (not often). I know it's expensive, but I'm sad that modern girls seldom want it anymore. Your table looks absolutely beautiful set with it.

delph, that table setting is really wonderful. And what a fantastic idea for those little frames!!! May I add your photo to the inspiration album? Since I'm leaving it intact, doesn't matter it's after Xmas now. By NEXT Fall that album should be really, really big. LOL
