one site I have used for years is garageband, you will not find todays top artist there but you may find some fabulous as yet unknown artists. I like it because of that, it is different and not something I have heard a thousand times. The artist themselves put their music up on the site to be heard and maybe get a break in the industry if enough people download their music and it has definitely happened to a lot of them. Now not all of the ones there have free downloads but many do and there are a lot of categories of music. I have been a member for several years, you can also help by doing the ratings of songs and artists. GarageBand, totally legal personally anytime I download anything to one of my windows machines I just make a habit of right click and scan file prior to opening, it is a good habit to have. Never seen anything bad from garageband downloads

Thanks bob, I tried the search function and I still cant find that silly MP3. Actually I think it doesnt exist as an MP3 - its some streaming thing because the only place I see it is in Windows Media Player and under properties, it says its in my "download" folder but then it also says "ip (and a long number)ip.secureserver.net." Which suggests Im plugged into some streaming thing, no? I went back to Youtube and tried to download it as an MP3 again and got "error" -can't do it! So OK I cant have it, which is fine but what's with the games? Just tell me it's not available and I wont waste my time trying. (BTW, its some obscure 45 year old song I have on vinyl - guess I'll have to get to work converting that instead. Oh well! Thought Id save some time....)

I bought an Itunes card and downloaded 11 songs. They transfer nicely to my generic MP3 player and play well. The problem is I can't burn them to a cd for backups or to play in my car. I emailed Itunes and said that since I paid for them I should be able to put them on a cd for backup and my car. I never got an answer. They are MP4 files. How can I put them on a cd? If my hard drive or PC crashes I am out the $$$ I paid for the songs!!!
