Your "contortions" certainly paid off Judith - your photos are incredible! Everything is beautiful, I love the glass items and your coral! Does it just wash up on the beach in chunks like that? Just something else to add to my "like to have" list! ;-)

Luckygal, thank you too, my back is not thanking me though, I am too old to get into those kinds of positions, and I am certainly not skinny enough to fit in those tight spaces LOL! I bought the coral at our local garden center, I have never seen coral on our area beaches, I think maybe we are too far up for that (Virgina beaches).

The crystal and coral really compliment one another! That is a beautiful piece of coral too.

I'm not surprised YOU can take fabulous photos withOUT your tripod. It was fun reading how you accomplished the shots tho. I can almost see you blue in the face, twisted like a pretzel, and clicking away. LOL.

Where would I find it, and is there any special cleaning method to remove it from the candleholder?
I've always used a 'blue' stickem stuff (almost like a silly putty)...but it can get messy.

With all the reflections, I am assuming this is a glass tabletop...WOW...it is spectacular! Love the natural asset of the coral with the crystal pcs...you have certainly chosen gorgeous pcs to go with the coral...love the shapes you've chosen to create a perfect tablescape. I especially like the shots where the tree mini-lights shine shine thru the glass pcs...even from under the tabletop! TFS your beautiful home! Jeanne S.

Lovely candle holders and gorgeous glass tree toppers. You put together a very pretty vignette, and the pictures are lovely with your tree in the background.

We thank you for twisting yourself into a pretzel and holding your breath to get these pretty pics to share with us! Like Karen, I'm trying to visualize the scene--but only mentally picturing a blue pretzel! LOL

I didn't even know they made stuff for securing candles. That makes it nice and easy. I was taught many years ago at a Princess House party to light a candle and let a little wax drip into the candleholder then place your candle. The wax would harden and secure the candle. To remove the wax, you just placed the candle holder in the freezer and then the wax would pop right out. (I always ended up having to poke a knife in to dig some of it out, however.) Your way of securing them is sure faster and easier.

Karen, LOL, so true, for the angle of the photos, I had to be squished in a tiny little corner where there is a couch and chair, no way was I moving the couch (it weighs a ton), so I just bent, pressed, squeezed and held my breath for the shots since a tripod was impossible. To top it off, for some reason my dog figured since I was part way on the floor and making funny "hold my breath" noises, he thought I was trying to play with him, so picture me holding my breath, contorted holding the camera as still as I can while "battleing off" my dog. It was a war of the wills, but I won. (I later took Toby for a walk, so he did get his fun after all) :)

Jane, I had bought the candle adhesive in a drug store where the candles were sold. To remove the adhesive, I just get a bit of a paper napkin and remove the amount I can, and then just wash it with warm soapy water, very simple and it works.

Jeannespines, thank you too, yes, it is a glass coffee table, my home is VERY small, so I use glass in my coffee table and dining room table, it give the appearance of more space since the "eye" travels right thru it. Plus I LOVE the easy care of glass. It also as you said gives really pretty reflections to light.

Luvs, thank you. I used the same method for years, melting some wax and adhearing it to the candle and base of candlestick. Most of the time it works, but sometimes the stick would still fall over, and I would still have to work pretty hard to remove the dried wax, expecially on delicate candle sticks. This works really great, no fuss no muss! LOL.

A little tip, for voltive candle holders and the short chunky candles, I just put a little spray PAM on my finger and put the PAM on the bottom of the voltive candle holder. so when the candle is finished burning, it will pop right out, just like when you bake.

I hope everyone is having fun this Christmas Eve, I am still preparing, in a few minutes I am making one of my DDs favorite cookies, peanut butter, and I am making cupcakes for my DD's boyfriend. Lots of sweet cooking!

That looks beautiful, J..I have a lot of shells here, no coral....I collected a whole bucket of scallop shells when we went clamming to spray and make into angels..DIDN't..:)

I think this piece or corral looks gorgeous in the center of all these pieces of glass! And I think that your favorite piece of glass is also one I definitely love!
