Can I get Texts from phone to pc

I do not have an internet phone....just a regular cell phone with texting. I want to archive my text mssgs...is there a way to do that...either to a card I stick in the phone to to my pc?

I would suggest you first contact your cell phone service provider for advice related to your specific phone.

Secondly, you can do this on your own by downloading software from the Internet to act as an interface. Below is an example. However, I'm not familiar with this product, so don't take it as an endorsement. Also, some of the software that is out there only works with certain phone models. To my knowledge, there isn't one single way to do this that will work for all phones.

Thirdly, there are a number of videos you can find on YouTube about this subject by using their search function. But, again, applicability depends on your phone.

I have verizon cell service and texting and no internet. I can forward a text on to my email address and it is only considered texting. I just input my email address instead of a phone number in the to field so maybe your cell provider works the same way with texting.

I can also send back from my email as text. For verizon in the to field for just plain text you can use yournumber@vtext.com and if you want to attach a photo then you use yournumber@vzwpix.com. I know that you can also do this with AT&T service both ways, just need to now the @ part for AT&T because I have sent from email to a friends phone on AT&T that has texting and she has sent back to my email as text. I would thing other major carries can do this also. Mary

Yes, so do I.....but you are giving this app permission to use the camera that came with your phone to take pictures & videos......it can do this any time it wants & it does not have to let you know..... I was pointing out the permissions as just something to be aware of.....all apps have different levels of permissions & its always a good idea to read through them..... Just go to your browser's Tools list in the top right hand corner of the browser window, open the drop down list and click to clear the cache. When it is done then close the browser and then reopen it fresh. Easier to do on your computer than on the phone but then you'd have to power down the whole phone and power back up to get a fresh load of FF. Dave

A reply to an outgoing email is an email. A reply to an outgoing message is a message. It doesn't break up any flow at all, you get back what you sent if you originated the message. If someone else did, then yes of course, they've decided what the format is, you have no choice. An alternative is to type your response on a PC and send it to yourself as an email, read it on your phone, cut and paste the text into a message, respond to the message. Text messages aren't really intended to be long. Best is short and sweet. People who make long messages or long replies do miss the point.

With most smartphone text (SMS message) apps, you can address a message to a complete email address just as you would normally enter a phone number. So an example, sending a text message to fred@gmail.com would produce a text message that would arrive in Fred's email account. As Nicole mentions, most cell phone services have a specific email domain name for incoming email messages intended to be received as a text message (ie, the opposite, sending an SMS text message FROM an email account ). For Verizon, the email address to send an email that will arrive as a text message for phone number 123 456 7890 is 1234567890@vtext.com If you send yourself a text message addressed to your own email account, you'll see in the return address what YOUR phone's SMS email address is.

lookup the model. maybe someone makes a usb data transfer cable? nowadays they're in the box when you buy the phone.
search the cell manufacturer or verizon forums.
