Bragu, that might be me breathing heavy. I realized after I made some uploads to Flickr that the audio added to the photo comes out as a mp4 and not a jpg image. However, if I go back to the camera I can choose to format it as jpg (without audio) and will do that in order to post photo to GWeb. That leaves me with a dilemma. I was counting on keeping note of the plant names via audio and must make two efforts. I'll keep the video/audio format and the JPG format since my computer has a huge harddrive. And I will do the name tags twice. Ah the price of obsessive compulsive naming and indexing! If like NORMAL gardeners who put their plants in the ground in ONE SPOT, I'd remember where each one resided. Not many hosta pick up and move in the dead of night, unless there is a plant thief loose in the neighborhood. It would not take long (even with 500) to remember where each one lived. Some of them have first couple of syllables clipped off, but the printed hosta names are now included....I just added them tonight. I'll upload the JPG form of the pictures here as time goes by, according to appropriate threads. Nothing is as simple as it should be I suppose. I checked and the camera has two files for the same photo. Same number, different file type at the end. I hope Funn sees this about the camera. Woohoo. My file was rejected by GWeb photo uploader because it was LARGER THAN 5000 KB. Guess I'll go to Flickr and upload it there first to resize. Another interesting adjustment to make before sharing pictures.

Navigators have become such an integral part of our lives that most travel enthusiasts and those who often go on business trips can hardly imagine their lives without a smartphone with its indispensable GPS.

Whether that data got sold to foreign parties, who knows. Google has strengthen their app screening recently -- because there was a need for it. And mobile malware is on the rise. It all points to being mindful of what you're downloading on your phone, checking to see what permissions the app is asking for. Apps that I use on my Iphone are Noaa weather radar for severe weather, facebook where my friends, charities, news and organizations groups are my favorite places to go. I also use it for GPS quite often because we have kids that do sports or events that make me look up maps. My car is located via GPS and I can see where we are in relation to our destination. A couple months ago I downloaded a Florida Keys app so in any spare time I can read up on our summer vacation destination. I use 'siri' quite often. She's my phones attitude too. At this point she knows my name and keeps us entertained with her answers. Its pretty easy to use the voice text, and the voice answers that come over the vehicle microphone. The only problem I have with my phone is the same problem I found was using it when driving. Just like eating, or personal care, I have to remind myself to take care of business before or after driving. I will have a conversation on my, I guess it's called Bluetooth which connects to my phone when enter the car. We have a long Highway by the house, which isn't crowded. The microphone above my head makes for easy talking. I feel relieved to know my high school girls are able to call or text me if they need to 'check in'. The car syncs up with the Iphones music but I'll use the USB port in my car, which seems to save energy and charges the phone when I'm not using it too. I have to say there are plenty more apps I use daily and I feel a little lost when I leave it at home. I do put it away while I visit with other people though. Hope that gives you some more thoughts about smart phones. Even my dh has recently changed to a heavy duty smart phone. It's a Casio Commando, with a double heavy duty case made for a farmer! We have a free app called Live360 that GPS's all our phones. I see where he is farming when I need to get out there. (or where my girls are if I'm concerned about their whereabouts) Whew! that's just the tip of the iceberg!
