My wife has bought games from Big Fish, Popcap and another site that cannot remember the name of with no problems. She also plays online and some sites restrict that to an hour. Currently she is working through a rather long list at Real Arcade. Ha ha, I suppose when she has exhausted all the games I will need to restore an image I have using Acronis True Image so she can start over.

I scan her computer reasonably regularly and there has been nothing on there to fear.

To be extra safe once you download the .exe for the game file go to the location you stored it and do not open it yet, first right click on the .exe and chose to scan it with your virus scanner from the list, that will do a direct scan on that file to see if it is clean. If you have malware scanners that have that option it is a good idea to scan the file with them also.
I use McAfee site advisor, which can be added to your browser, it will tell you valuable information about websites and if they are safe to visit. You can get it free for both IE and firefox.

Gillian...There is a free version of Pogo that has all kinds of great games. Majong and tons of others. The downloads on Pogo are pay ones.Just look on Pogo.com. Its free, or you can have a paid membership and get even more games and perks.

I have done this for years with no problem. If I like the trial version I buy the game. I have done that several times.
