Thanks for all the advice. I am planning to use porcelain or stone so I think the ideas above for the non-glass side of the wall will work. Sounds like I need a through body porcelain if I go the porcelain route. catbuilder: The glass will be a panel, not a door. When you say recess the door, does this mean cutting some type of vertical slit in the drywall next to where the tile ends and putting the edge of the glass panel into this slit? Or, am I misinterpreting what you mean by "recess the channel"?

Hmmm. The last part of my reply didn't get posted. I might have deleted it or something. Anyhow, I also wrote that Jolly tiles can also refer to tiles with mitered edges. That allows two jollys to turn a corner. So the term can be used in different ways. I'm not enough of a tile guy to know if one description is more correct than the other.

I have another question about the trim. For the hallway bath we have oversized subway tiles (4x10 in) and we want to go with bright white trim. The bullnose (Rondec) might be better than flat (Jolly) here but I can't seem to find the bright white coated aluminum inner corner pieces anywhere for the niche. All I can find is bright white coated PVC corner pieces. So my question is two fold. Would you prefer color coated aluminum over color coated PVC trim for durability? Secondly, what if I do the rest of the trim in color coated aluminum but buy the PVC corner pieces? Would they age differently and look odd in the end?
