I kind of like the reflection. And I like a big forest of them more than just a couple. They look cool!

Bonniee, they look great. What neat "toppers" you found, love those little trees and the wreath. Sounds like you have had lots of fun making them. So are you using all these yourself in a vignette like this, or are they for gifts? Do you know if they will stay nice if stored away till next year? Luvs

I would like to know how you made those. I decorate my kntchen in gingerbread people, cookie jars, and candy decorated tree and swags. Those make a great little vinette on my cake plates. How to, please. Thanks

Thank you oldalgebra, Luvs, luckygal,& gardner1908 for your compliments on my newly expanded candy tree forest - LOL! I have them staged now & almost all the hang down ornaments tied with ribbon from the chandelier. They are like those little villages but they are candy trees - a collection of them. luckygal, they are made with styrofoam bases. YOu can buy them at Wal-Mart or craftstore. The candy icing is a mixture of confectioner sugar & powdered egg white with water. Gardener.......I will post you the link to Rhoda's Southern Hospitality Blog where she give complete instructions to these. They are easy & fun to make! I had a blast doing them. Have fun with it! And my to do list just keeps growing. I have always done a holiday craft project with my kids. This will be the one for this year, wonder if I can get my 29yr. old son to do this,(grin) he a pretty good sport, thanks for the link.

Thanks Jane & Punk! I think grandkids would love to do this. It was fun for me - ha! The icing dried out fast so you had to work fast.....Rhoda suggested to unwrap all the candy first so I did that. Also the paper dollies are a must to keep them from sticking to the pedestal. I will post another pic soon.....thanks again for your sweet notes! Bonnie

Wow, those came out great, I think they look wonderful on the glass table, I will check out Rhodas instructions, this looks like a great project for kids and adults alike.

Thank you Judithva! I had the best time making them & I think it would be a great project that kids could help do & have fun with you! They really would be creative for the kids to do as they think up some ideas we would never try. :)
