Another Thunderlbird question re: font sizes

I see how to change the font size of the email message but I notice that font size in the folder section and the thread sections are rather small for my middle aged eyes. :) Is there an easier way to enlarge the font sizes in all the other sections of the email screen other than making changes in the userchrome.css file? I've never done anything like that before and am a little nervous about it.

Pam,
When you open Thunderbird, go to Tools on the upper Tool bar,Click on Options,then Display-Fonts&Encodings, click Fonts button on right hand side. Then when the Fonts Button is opened, change the size by the drop down menu labeled Minimum Font Size.
I have used Thunderbird for several years and I have my minimum font size set at 15. You might need it to be larger for you.

Thank you, daylily for the advice on minimum font size...I did make that change and it worked great. :)

However, I am hoping to find a way to change the font size not just in the message window ( I think I can do that just by pressing control and + or -, right?). I'm hoping to be able to increase the font size in the folders window and in the thread window to make them easier to read. Can you help? Thanks!

Absolute minimum is 5 acres, and you should expect to supplement the grass. Better would be 10-20, as that way you can have 3 or more grazing areas and change over as soom as one looks poorly, not having to wait until the initial one has re-grown. Goats like browse, so unless the trees are fairly tall, they might get eaten, and if the trunks slope they will get climbed. However, since they are something to eat - and if you fence off the trunks so the goats can't chew the bark - I would think the goats would be happy having shrubs or trees to browse on and to give shelter. Just be SURE none of them are toxic - I don't know what is bad for goats, but googling will probably bring up a list. It's almost impossible to give a hard and fast timetable for rotating - it all depends on the grass regrowth, and that depends on rain. I would say that when the one pasture is looking short - grazed down to a couple of inches, then it's time to move them. In the rapid growth periods, this may be longer than in the dryer periods. Google for rotational grazing or rotational pasture management, and I am sure you will get more details. If you get really good grass growth, you might leave one area out of the rotation and let it stockpile for haying or for winter grazing - saving on your hay bill. You will need to have a way to get water to all pastures, and, if the trees aren't thick, build some sort of shelter from wind, rain and the hottest sun. Gates need to be handy to switch pastures without escapes, and also be big enough for a tractor to bush-hog and to bring feed or fencing materials as needed. Plan accordingly.

The Fernleafs need extra moisture much of the time. So you might plan to water them more often next year. If not watered, they do dry right up and disappear foliage wise. Mine were done by July the first year, brown and gone. My Fernleaf blooms first of all the Peonies, really cute to watch frilly foliage appear, bud and bloom. Mine are near some big Oaks, get shade in midday in summer. Plus Oaks may take a lot of the rain moisture, unless the fernleafs get the extra watering I do. I don't know anyone local that has Fernleafs, to see what they do in other gardens. I think the extra watering helps get them going, be larger plants faster, as well as have the foliage last until fall. For me, no Fernleaf foliage creates a big hole in the bed. Planting now should be fine. I planted mine very late in fall when I got them, had flowers the first year much to my surprise! My roots were pretty pitiful, while yours sound just great. Update us on their Spring performance.

Questions for Rangecraft Hood Owners re: Size and CFM

CFMs and size are independent of brand of hood. If you stir fry quite a bit, you will definitely need a powerful hood and a properly sized hood. As Bethv says, you should get a 42" wide x 24" deep hood. If you have deeper counters, then your hood should be deeper as well--the hood should cover the front as well as back of the cooktop...also 3" or so in front or back (the 24" depth w/24" counters works b/c the cooktop is not on the very edge of the counter nor is it at the very back of the counter). The wider hood increases the capture area of the smoke/grease/steam. These things don't go straight up, they billow out and up...meaning they will go beyond your cooktop width. As to CFMs, I think you should go w/at least 900cfms...I think 600 will be too weak for your type of cooking. HTH!

Go back to the tool bar and choose View on the upper toolbar. When it opens up Choose Text size . A little menu with increase or decease will pop out. By choosing increase and do that a second time you can increase the font size for the session you are reading emails. You would have to do this every time you read email
I do that two times to increase the size for eyes too. I think it is about a 120 increase. At least it is on the Sea Monkey browser I use.

I'm so sorry, daylily...I'm not making myself clear.

I do know how to change the font size of the email message found in the the window at the bottom of the screen. I'm hoping to be able to enlarge the font size in the folder section at the left of the screen and on the thread section at the top of the screen. Does that help make things more clear? I do appreciate your help so far.

I am not sure that area can be resized. Even when I increase the font size that area stays the same size it is on my computer.
Maybe it is a font size on Windows that needs to be changed.
