Which Web Host....

Greetings,

I have a website I've created using FrongPage 2002. Now I need to upload my site somewhere. I was given this site...UCOZ.COM as a place you can add a website for free. However, I can not figure out how to upload my website. When I asked it appreared as though it is not possible.

Are there other sites preferrably free or very inexpensive? I will have a lot of photos in tables so I need at least 100 MB more would even be better.

Any ideas?

You might look at your internet providers web site for free web space. Mine gives me up to 5 email addresses and with each is the opportunity to set up a web site. Up to 10 megs I think, not sure as I do not go there too often for web space.

Front Page server I doubt is found for free and 100mb of picture serving,,, if lots of visitors is gonna cost you extra on bandwidth usage. So pay attention to the fine print if you're gonna give somebody a credit card for that. You might be suddenly surprised at a whopper bill ... bandwidth usage goes up also while you're editing pages ... A mirror host on a lan server before updating is a very good idea.

I personally like tripod they have a very easy to use site builder tool, I am with Verizon and they provide free website building space, you might check to see if your isp provides some. I also have sites on bravenet.com which is pretty decent. Be cautious if just searching google because many of those sites can be bad sites to visit. If you want to set up a small business the yahoo small business sites are pretty decent.

Does anyone have any ideas of an area I can set up a website? I did check with my internet provider and they do not have anything that would allow me to put up a website. Any other suggestions?

There is Google Page Creator, which provides plenty of help through its many forums.

I've used pair.com for several years. Can't complain.
They'll have a setup charge and about $18-20 monthly for a server doing FrontPage ,,, provided you stay within the bandwidth limits.

I have had an account at awardspace for a while now. I am working on getting a new site up. The basic site is free and pretty generous. Check out the link. I had a nicer free host but they went out of business
