I would first try to just do a simple system restore to the date when everything was working and see if that will fix the problems. You do not mention which windows version is on it?? if you need the directions for a simple system restore just let us know your version of windows.

I was having terrible troubles with my digital camera. One of my boys said that it was time to get a new camera. Well, I put some cheapy batteries in it and POOF it works great again. Rechargeable batteries are only good for about 100 charges. Went out and bought new rechargeables! No new camera for me! Savings = big bucks! DS said he wouldn't have thought to check the batteries! Here goes: OK it worked for me first try (a two toned phlox that I'm fond of). Perhaps it's fixed or maybe it was the luck of the draw. If I do have problems with Houzz' photo uploader, I'll just go back to using my ftp space that comes free with my email account. I used to do that a lot with the old garden web, which would only allow a single photo to be directly uploaded to a post. What bothers me more is that Houzz no longer allows you to use your own cover photo on your personal page. I don't want to use one of Houzz' generic stock photos; I want to use my own photo! Grrr! Fortunately I uploaded my own photo early on, while it was still allowed BUT I have a second elongated garden view that I had hoped to use alternately. It sure would be nice if Houzz would restore the "upload an image from your computer" function!

Oh, Debby, we all get that! I HATE adjusting the sizes. I just want to take the photo and have the dumb computer and even dumber web site KNOW what I want them to do and not require me to even think about it. I CAN do the adjustments. I CAN read the instructions and follow them. I DO NOT WANT TO. I am NOT interested in any of that and I am NOT alone. That is why I made the suggestion to simply set your camera to that setting, or, perhaps the setting on your equipment is something like "share on web" or something? It all relates to file size, the amount of information it contains. Too large, too much information and it either uploads very slowly or not at all, so make the equipment setting once and never have to think about it, again. The only down side is, if you intend to print those photos, they won't be AS good as they would have been as larger files with the greater amount of information. But, you'll never have to think about (nor do anything about) "sharing" them again, other than just share them.
