Opryland on Christmas Eve 2007

Hi everyone ........We had Christmas early as DS had to drive back to Dallas to work an hour on Monday so Christmas celebrating took place on Saturday night here. DH & I flew to Nashville to see Opryland Hotel on Monday.....Christmas Eve. Such a treat to behold! It was amazing. Thought I would share.......if you wanna peek , here is the link!

Bonnie Talk about Christmas spririt there, people would take the camera away from you & say, "do you want me to take a pic of you two together?" and of course we did the same.

But when I got home you were gone. Everything happens for a reason I guess. I hope you have the filling life you always wanted. I immediately fell in love with the little tree surrounded by the white and gold Santa, rocking horse, etc. That is gorgeous. You're right Jaybird, its heading for the inspiration album! There are so many lovely photos on different threads, and I forget WHO I asked permission from and who I forgot to. Gosh, if you see a photo in the album and object to it being there...just quietly email me and I'll remove it. I am probably behind in adding pix this week, much less asking for "oks". Happy SUNDAY! We have about 4 inches of a lovely mixture of sleet/ice outside. We were supposed to meet our fellow Snow Village clubmembers at Boscobel up in NY State near West Point. Well, that has been cancelled formally, even though DH did not want to make the trip this weekend. Looks like it's wrapping gifts for me now because I forgot to take out my cookie dough from the freezer last night! After wrapping, I will make a batch of almond shortbread and raspberry/hazelnut shortbread bars, so it should be productive. Oh, between that, I will punish myself by watching the JETS/Patriots game. Ohhhhhh, the humanity!!!!!!! LOL Patti/Dave, hope you are enjoying yourselves. I told DH yesterday that if you two are anywhere within a 3-hour range, we are all meeting up, even for a cup of coffee!! Marci, you are a tower of strength with those sweets, girlfriend. Sometimes when I'm tempted I think about how easy it seems for you to avoid the junk. I don't always win, but you have been so successful, that I have a 50/50 chance of victory! [[[[[[[[Suzanne]]]]]]]]], I know how you feel with that "DUH" moment. It happened to me a few times with my keys and the car. As the door slammed shut, I would see those shiny keys sneering at me from the front seat! Glad you are safely back in. Suzanne, DH is trying to think of a way to help you unfreeze that hydrant, but he tells me you will crack it if you pour warm water over it (my suggestion!). He said whatever you do, it has to be a slow process, but I told him "it's too cold for her out there!" Sorry I'm no help, but I've got broad shoulders. Good luck! Yes DeeMarie Jen Donna Tikanas (it usually does not take that long Besh!) Patti Marci - it came today! Besh (it didn't take that long Tikanas!) Raeanne - it came today! No NH Suzanne I can't imagine that Maddie would forget, as she is the top chief/liaison/organizer/coordinator/get-it-together and fly girl. Dee - I am sure you could tell Rich a few things, so my lips are sealed. Besh - enjoy your well deserved time off. Tikanis - I agree with not working out while sick. I missed working out so much that I think I rushed it. NH Suzanne - I loved the photos, thanks. Marci - enjoy your time off. Sounds like you might have your hands full this year. Jen - I received the package today. Now I can't wait to open it LOL. Excellent photos! We went to a conference there years ago -- but these are simply gorgeous holiday decorations! Thanks for sharing!

Glad you like my jacket.......I don't know if you can tell from the photo but my jeans have a velvet patch on them too. :) Came from Petite Sophiscate Store.

Bonniee, loved the photos. I love the Opryland Hotel, we stay there when we are in Nashville (the Society of Decorative Painters hold their annual conference there every couple of years) but I have never seen it decorated for the holidays. It is a beautiful place on a normal day - nine acres under the atrium - an absolutely wonderful place. Thanks for sharing

It was my pleasure to share with everyone! Paintingfool, I have been there twice, but not during holiday season. Everyone kept saying how gorgeous it was at holiday season so just wanted to see if it really was........it is! It is a magical wonderland at Christmas time! Thanks again for looking!
