I called Hughes, I am paying for 200mb of downloads and uploads with no charges during 2am and 7am. My upload speed is supposed to be 700. I did a test and it averaged 450. I'm sorry, but something doesn't sound right here. Could it be that Hughes doesn't know what they are talking about regarding the plan you are paying for. See the link below. Do you maybe have the Power 200 plan? If so you are paying for 'up to' 2 Mbps Download and 'up to'300 Kbps Upload I wonder if that 700 you are 'supposed to be getting is actually for the upload between 2Am to 7 AM. He did a test and it shows that I have damage to the cables coming into my house. I will have to have them check on this later and pay their fee but we are experiencing an ice storm right now and I need to get through that. The ice storm itself would most probably slow your speed, as would a storm of any kind. There 'could' even be ice build up on the dish and other outside equipment slowing your speed. I wouldn't be lining up a $125 repairman anytime soon. I'd wait and see what you get on a clear day, and also what you get on a clear night. I also would not count on a $125 repair call even improving your speed. it might have affected the picture you are using for your wallpaper try choosing a new wallpaper and see if that square goes away. also check your wallpaper settings to see how it is set to portray your wallpaper. It is better to get an actual wallpaper that is sized for your monitor resolution, this site will automatically determine your proper size, once you select a wallpaper click on it to go to the download page there you will see where it says your resolution is and has the number, for example mine is 1280x1024 where you see that click on that number and it will automatically size it for your screen then right click on the sized image and save it to your pc, then go to your wallpaper area and browse to that saved file and select it as your wallpaper. Margaret, Your subject line gave me a chuckle. Why would you need to upload problems from your desktop? I had to read to find out. How did those problems get to your desktop? Do you need an app for that? Can I put my problems there, too? Once they are uploaded, will the cloud keep them away? English is such a fun language.

Thanks owbist. ravencajun, thanks for the compliment but I only had the first half of it figured out and cboy came to the rescue and helped me with the last half of it. I can't take all the credit. "Smiles" Then zep516 came in catching the fact that System Restore wasn't working right and gave me great information on how to correct that. This was the first time that I've had problems with my desktop, but I have changed the backround on it before and I remembered that and I thought why not check it out and see if I could get it to change and that is when I discovered that the backround had been changed and all I had to do was to put it back like I had it, but then I didn't know how to get the icons back and that's when cboy posted the solution for me. If that ever happens to me again I will know exactly what to do. Thanks owbist for telling me how to move the icons down to the taskbar.
