Table set with my Pottery Barn outlet 75% off things

I know I haven't been around as much as usual.I had a lot of running around and baking to do, as well as snow shoveling...:(...But I did get out today some bargains at the outlet...75 off..

And Jane, I made it to CTS today...wow would I love to be there the 26th...not much reduced yet though.

The red beaded plates came to 2.49, the check tree place mat 1.25, reverses to a white decorated tree..

The candy striped plate, 1.99, the swirl name card holders, 1.99 for 4...Little Santa bowl , 1.24 and a large one for 2.99

I am doing Tablscape Tuesday, so if you'd like, come look at the one I did for that...

Oh Kathleen how lovely your table setting is. I love the red and white theme. It's not only cheerful, but looks so fresh and sweet, just like a candy cane!! lol...You did great on the prices too.
I was at CTS today TOO!!! I agree, not much marked down. I had a $10 off coupon, but did not spend much...so I gave it away. I could have used it two wks ago though!! I did get to go to Michael's for their sale. They didn't have much left. I guess it's all in the timing.
Like you, I have been busy...I was just informed, that I'm also doing Christmas Eve!! DD & family as well as her Father IL and her SIL will be coming over..it will be an easy dinner though..But it cuts into my prep time for the next day. Oh well...I guess I have to 'loosen up' and go with the flow.

Yikes, I know what you mean! We go to my son's, but we do a lot of the cooking and then take it in. I have to do shrimp francaise for 16, spinach casserole..dh is doing th antipasto, and I made 60 sw and sour meatballs. I also have to do an apple dessert and more cookies...
I used my coupon, tried to keep it right at 50 but went over.
Did you see those green placemats, muted toile looking almost, and in burgandy ish red...for 1.00?
I got them...

Thanks jbill and roobear for your replies. On Cyber Monday, the JCP knock-off of the Pottery Barn set was $179! And free shipping to boot. I missed it however. But I did buy the Caroline bench on the JCP website for $149. Today it popped back up to $199. I guess it really pays to watch things and wait for the bottom price, which to me for the Caroline bench (probably for the PB knock-off bench as well, which is called the Clark bench). That price has bobbed up and down with various free shipping offers and %-off prices for many months. Several of the reviews on the JCP on-line catalog page warned against sliding the baskets in and out of the bench and shelves without first gluing felt to the bottom of the basket. If I use this, I'd store towels in the bench and put things on the shelves with smooth or soft edges. Roobear, what a deal on your shelf! Wow! All in all, I'm still not convinced that this is the best thing to put in such a small area (the room measures about 5 by 5.5 feet), but it solves a couple of storage problems in a nice looking way. Any other thoughts?

I was one of those trucks "loading up!" :) I lived in Collierville, TN where I had easy access to the outlet...I went monthly to find good deals...several times I've hit upon "misprinted" pricing...they have so much volume that sometimes they make mistakes...2 chairs that retailed for $375 a piece were marked down to $175 but they had put for the "pair"...so I got two chairs for under $90 a piece instead of $375..I also got two brand new not damaged dressers for under $250..they retailed for over $1299...they had dove tailed drawers no staple fronts and the painted finishes last...I've had a dresser for 8 years with no problems...when you compare the quality to a Haverty's brand or anything that sells furniture in those price ranges..you just come out better...I got a butter painted bookshelf for under $100...there is just much more value there for the buck, you just have to look...being able to get a 100% cotton quilt for under $30 when it retails for over $150...well, it's worth it! :) I would love to have the time to spend searching for end tables and occasional pieces at antique stores...but when you have a family with children and you're always on the go, it's nice to go into a store and buy a solid wood kitchen table for under $200 and have it last...no peeling veneers etc. Now, would I ever pay full price for any of their items? NO WAY! But when I can get it for 80% off...it's a deal.... Tara

I like my natural colored slipcovers. Yes some one can spill bbq sauce, but what if they spilled on your dining chair? Unless you are using all wood or vinyl, it is going to stain. Being able to take it right off and treat the stain with out damaging the frame of the chair is a nice thing. Personally, I would look for a less expensive version, but that is due to my wallet, I would probably love these if I could afford them. You can find other covers so you can switch out if you get tired of the white. Since I am busy sewing my own slip covers right now, yes they can wrinkle and shrink. But taking them out of the dryer while still fairly damp can make it easier to stretch them to put on. I have an older and much loved couch that has had the covers washed a lot with no issues with the seams. I did replace the seat cover because over time (and with the help of the dog) was not coming as clean as I would like

Pottery Barn Indio Outdoor Dining Patio Furniture anyone?

We have had a partial order of our Indio Metal Dining set and Lounge chairs delivered. (the rest is on backorder) While everything looks nice one of the Chaise lounge chairs and a couple of the dining chairs their legs do not all lign up and so there is a slight wobble to the chair. Both Chaise lounge chairs (not kept under the patio) have been rained on, while they look fine they are retaining water inside the aluminum construction of the chair. While i know aluminum does not rust, however aluminum can corrode over time. I am wondering if this is going to compromise the longevity of the chair? Again everything looks great, the quality of the product leaves us second guessing the purchase decision. Coming from a major designer/retailer like Pottery Barn this is a really big disservice to the customer confidence. i am looking forward to seeing how Pottery Barn addresses the situation. and here are a couple boring videos i took of the chair leaking water, the chairs are on their side and about 2 days after the last rain event. And yes the videos are like watching paint dry.. looks nice

Oh....another lovely one Kathleen..I love the color combination. Your plate decorations remind me of the old fashioned corsages..nice touch.
I didn't see those placemats you were describing...I kind of whizzed thru, because we were really going to the Mall. The CTS was just a quick pit stop (which was hard for me) and DH was really putting a time limit on me!!
Loved the Rudolph story!! I guess he gets around this time of year...lol

Hi Kathleen, I love those red/white candy stripe plates. And those are neat placemats and name card holders on that table too.

Love the lavender table. And the tablecloth is just perfect.The little star plates and the greenery tied with the bow make it really special.

Have you ever counted up how many different tables you have done this year? I haven't counted, but know it's allot! Thanks for sharing with us.

Luvs, I never have counted, LOL...some of them are just simple spur of the moment tables...The lavender one I thought about, but not much!

Mo, I never knew I liked purple either! A forum friend sent me those dishes, and I really love them. And Karen is our purple inspiration!
When I bought those table linens a few yrs ago, I had no clue what I would do with them...never thought of lavender as a Cmas color! Now you see a lot of lime green too!

DD, hope you had a Merry Christmas too! I love the sales at PB outlet....I have to get back there next week..

I just finished my New Year's Eve table...post it tomorrow..

Kathleen, the red table is darling and that lavender one is drop dead wonderful! Love, love , love it! You are so talented, Lady! I can see that for Valentine's Day, substituting a white or silver angel or cupid for the silver ball and using white roses and ivy in place of the evergreen and pine cones. For me, Valentine's Day doesn't have to be red or pink, just soft and romantic . . . and your table is certainly that!
