Are you dead set on Marble? You could probably get a granite remnant fabricated for less than that!

For that you could order something like a home decorators complete vanity and just take the top and sinks and craiglist the rest of it, if you can find one with the right dimensions, but I agree that if you can find a stone remnant it will much cheaper. Also, I read something somewhere from someone who got caesarstone for $25 sq ft by buying a pice from a cancelled order.

Lukkiirish is right a granite remnant should be less expensive, or you could go with a prefabricated granite top as well.

The Murano collection has prefabricated 72" double sink vanity granite tops from 250.00-380.00 depending on the color of granite. That price includes a backsplash, each side splash is an extra 20.00 and your choice of undermount sink for 29.00 each.

The granite is 2cm instead of 3cm in thickness so it makes it easier to install DIY.

I found some nice vanities on ebay complete with granite or travertine tops and include undermount sinks. I'm buying a 72" double vanity with travertine for $1150 including shipping. You might want to check it out.

We got a cultured granite double sink top from a local vendor, as they had the only 42" neo-angle showerpan around and we wanted it to match in our small master bath.

Price back in 2003 was $850 which included installation. We have bevel-edge sinks which added $100 to the price. I consider this worth it as it really reduces drips (I'm a splasher, LOL). This is a dark beige cultured granite, which most people mistake for Corian. It's a little glossier, however.

We priced Swanstone but this was a bit cheaper, plus Swanstone didn't have the bigger showerpan. We're very happy with it, clean-up couldn't be easier.
