I tried it for a few weeks and didn't care for it. IE8 kept shutting down on me. Not sure why, but can only think it's a glitch. After reading up on this, I found that many people where experiencing the same.

I went back to IE7, and while it has shut down twice so far since I re-installed it (about 3 weeks now), IE8 did it constantly.

With IE8, the tool bar is a bit different but once you know where things are, you're good to go - like anything else.

I'm trying to get in the habit of using Firefox more often. Old habits are hard to break though.

Here is a link that might be useful: IE8

I downloaded it yesterday...no problems. I like it and it does seem faster.

I am telling people to wait a while they have had some early reports of security holes right off. And some domains are not yet working with IE8. I am sure this will be quickly worked out but waiting a little while might save some issues.
Internet Explorer 8: What You Need to Know

this is from an article at the Register
"Finally, there's a question over just how simple the move to IE 8 really is. Barzudukas claimed that overall domains such as the BBC and its own Microsoft.com do work with IE 8, it's just individual pages that are failing to work properly. A page that doesn't render or print properly, though, translates as a site that's broken when it comes to the demanding world of the web and people won't have time for it. It would be hard to imagine Microsoft being so tolerant if it came to judging a rival's browser performance."

I always let the "testers" go grab that stuff early and watch and see what happens LOL
