In firefox if you click tools at the top then add/ons you will see a list of add/ons installed one of those apparently is causing a problem if your not using any add/ons then uninstall them you will see the uninstall option there. I just want to make sure your not running fiefox in safe mode all the time.

What version of IE is installed? How many add ons are installed? Are a lot of tabs open in IE when you get the High Memory usage of IE pop up? You need to monitor the resources utilized by IE, and in case you feel that a lot of memory is being used the very moment IE is launched (ideally memory usage grows as you open more tabs, download data, or try to attach data to emails and perform other operations such as audio or video streaming), it is probably due to the fact that IE is loading with plenty of add-ons. Can you print from other applications? If no, my first guess would be a corrupt printer driver. If you still have the install CD for this printer or can locate the appropriate driver on the mfr web site, you could try to uninstall the existing printer program(s) and then reinstall. If you can print from other apps, you should find and run a good memory tester. Google will give you several options. It may be that one or more of your memory chips is going bad. It also couldn't hurt to open the case and blow out the dust bunnies. You could also remove each chip and reinstall to be sure it is seated properly.

Have you looked in the Event Viewer at Error logs ? Might look in Services and if the spooler is Started, Stop it, or temporarly Disable, and maybe also the items that depend on an active spooler, like TCP/ip PrintServer and maybe other services too. Maybe. If you cross your fingers & hold your head just right - after a reboot, hopefull you would be able to uninstall.
