craigslist ad

when i go to CL to post an ad, the system remembers my email address. i have 2 email accounts from different entities. like comcast and gmail. the CL site always lists my comcast account so i have to retype my gmail info if i wish to use gmail. is there any way to get the cl page to go to my gmail address? cl will not let you delete an account.

I might try clearing "Form & Search History"(Firefox terminology) as well as "cookies".

Assuming of course that I'm visualizing the problem correctly; I may not be.

Yes I clear history. I go to CL website and go to the login page and the username/password line has my info. I use Firefox. I changed settings to never remember history and log on again and user name line is empty. So, I restart computer, change setting to "remember history", and go to CL and go to login page and my old user name is back on line. The computer is locked on recalling my #1 user name at CL. It wil not let me substitute my #2 name

That's awful. I can't believe that people actually went to the guy's house & took his stuff. An add like that just sounds fishy. Even if you were forced to leave suddenly, would you just give all your stuff away?? I hope they catch the person responsible.

Go to Firefox Options, click the Security tab.
You should see remember passwords checkbox and Exceptions button.

"Never remember history" = desired result
"Remember history" = undesired result

Does that narrow it down to a "history" setting?

When you go to clear history, does a "Clear All History" dialog box pop up? Which boxes are checked? How about the time range?
