I'll definitely try to get a hold of a sample of Silver Shadow as I can see from responses here and posts elsewhere that it is quite popular. I'd still love to hear from anyone regarding Warm Grey, Smoke Grey and Mobe Pearl. How do they range in terms of light to dark? Which comes closest in tone to Misty Grey, which seemed like a good color, but too dark? I want to avoid any blueness (so don't think Platinum would work), while also steering clear of too much beige (Mobe Pearl?). Thanks for the comments so far!

I would go with gray grout - white is difficult to maintain. I have white grout now and would never use it again. If you are iffy on the gray, just go with a lighter gray color...just dark enough so it doesn't look dingy. Good luck!

Good point on he trim. I will look around at other options! But the way I cook, Like my grandma taught me, things can get really messy really fast. I make big meals, with lots of ingredients. And do splash the back splash almost every meal. This is why I think I will be going with a darker color. I think it will look fresher longer. Unlike my old apartment that has red, brown, and green patches stained into the white grout. We also have the tile placed close, with no huge grout lines. So I think it will not look to busy or dirty once it filled in, and not just gaps.
