We have the Everpure water chiller but it does take up room in the cabinet and as Al says, it needs ventilation. Ours is installed in the powder room cabinet which is on the same wall as the sink so the tubing just goes through the wall. It's also hooked up to a hot water heater which is in the sink cabinet. Our sink cab is only 24" so there wasn't room for the chiller, hot water heater, garbage disposal and the RO filter system. We modified the standard cabinet in the powder room by cutting out a 2x6" rectangle of the floor between the toe kick and the front of the cabinet. We also took out the center fake drawer front and replaced it with a decorative brass grill. Not super beautiful for a powder room used by all our guests, but it works :) The chiller gets the water down to the high 30's low 40's if you run it a bit before putting water in a glass. It's filtered which we also like. We have a hot/cold faucet so get filtered instant hot or cold water quickly. One thing you should note is the water goes through the filter into the chiller and from the CHILLER into the hot water tank so the hot water tank fills with ice cold water. This is certainly not energy efficient and bothers me somewhat but we live with it.

Todds - I LOVE my pullout pantry - it is extremely efficient use of space - not one wasted inch and it's only 10" wide. I'd happily line up 2 or more to make good use of space. It's accessible from both sides so you could make it twice as wide and it would still be just as efficient. Wider than that and you'd start to lose stuff in the middle. Keep in mind it's 30" deep (we have 30" deep countertops and the whole wall lines up) so there is a TON of storage in there. The water chiller is an Everpure, I don't recall which model and under the sink is so tight I couldn't get in there to find out even if I wanted to. I bought the entire system from Cleanwatersystems.com IIRC and GErry was a great help. I did compare brands but my main criteria was how cold the chiller got the water as we gave up ice and water in the door of the fridge. This one was the coldest and I think it is pretty much always in the high 30's/ very low 40's which is cold enough for us. The Hafele magic corner units are very expensive again IIRC we paid about $450 through the cabinet maker for each one. Because of the 30" deep cabinets and the limited space for a door opening, they were the best bet for us. Believe it or not, I have even more stuff stored behind them and back in the corner of the cabinets. The back corner is for stuff I literally use once a year as I have to take out the drawers to get there. In a standard 24" deep cabinet these would be the bees knees. Good luck with your remodel. The best is when it's all done and you find you have a kitchen that not only looks great but is great to work in.

Lissa- I just had a Franke Little Butler installed three days ago and I can't tell you how much we love it. The reason I chose it was that I wanted both the hot and cold water to be filtered, and at the time I was looking, Franke was the only company that did this that I found. (I bought the unit last year, yes it has taken THAT LONG to get to where we were ready to install it). The Insta-hot brand filtered the cold but not the hot water. Anyway, the unit is not that big-- the heater is a rectangular cube about 11x7 inches. The filter (it is a Franke triflow filtration unit) is a cylinder about 11 inches high by 2 inches in diameter. However, I don't have a separate cooling unit for the cold water, since the temp coming out of the cold tap is good enuf for me. Also, my fridge has filtered cold water for those times when it matters to me. But the Little Butler filter, heater, and my garburetor fit very comfortably in the sink cab, which is 36" wide. As for cost, when I was looking these units were quite high, but I bought mine from an ebay storefront with 100% positive feedback for about half the price I was quoted in the snazzy plumbing showroom (can't remember numbers now, it's been so long). You have a vented faucet. As the water heats up, the faucet will drip. This is normal and necessary if you would like to prevent damage to the tank. Sputtering and steaming are an indication that the temp may be set too high. The reason your water temperature is low, despite the fact that you have sputtering and steaming, is that as hot water is used it is replaced with chilled water, which fairly rapidly lowers the temperature due to the small tank size. That's just the way it is if you want both chilled and hot water from the same faucet.
