Well I too have tried RL metalics in silver. It was a more than a pain. I first rolled it on not even thinking it may take a special application. Streaks like I'd never seen before. So if all else fails, read the directions...The back of the paint can said it should be sprayed on with a certain type sprayer. Sorry I'm not savy enough about sprayers, but we did go out a buy a sprayer with those specifications and all it did was splatter! What a mess. I checked the RL website and it said to use an RL special roller. It cost way more than I wanted to spend not knowing if it would be a disaster like the sprayer was so I thought I'd try using my woolie applicator. Basically it's a paint pad made from curly real wool about six by ten inches. I got the same type of look that gk did and I love it. I'd share pix I have, but it doesn't photograph well. Looks like the walls are a pretty silver, but not metalic. I love how it looks in real life though.

Thanks for posting these pics for me. Get some samples of the faucet finish that will help a lot. I have a wall mounted faucet and planned it to be accessible from the back if ever it was needed. The accessible area is inside a closet in the room on the other side of the sink. I had a new cabinet made for my soapstone sink and tall backsplash. My faucet rough-in is installed through the wall and the thick backsplash. I actually could disassemble the faucet and sink from the front too, and lift the vanity away from the wall if I needed to. I have a large access hole behind the backsplash. But to change out the rough-in I think going through the wall, behind would be preferable, because there is more room to cut a hole to access plumbing. Note that the faucet comes out of the backsplash and drips straight into the sink. There is no counter below the faucets and spout. I mention this because, most pictures I see with a wall mounted faucet have a counter below the handles. I love the way mine is set up because all wet droppings from the hands wind up in the sink and not onto the counter. This sink is a breeze to use and clean. It is 18" square outside and around 10" deep outside. This is my guest bathroom/mudroom/ on our working farm. On occasion I might be mixing calf milk replacer in the sink, or washing a dog in the bathtub. The sink can be used to wash fairly large items too. It was a real treat to plan all of this and see it come alive. You will have so much fun with your beautiful dresser.

@designer drains - so interesting as I do too. The tall vertical way just seems too tall. Plus I like to walk up to a sink and have as much mirror as one can allow. However turning it sideways leaves me with just 10 inches on either side of that mirror for sconces which feels a little tight to me? But then I look at houzz and see people doing that all the time. I have tried all afternoon to find a sleek square mirror with minimal frame. I even went out to antique shops thinking I'd see something that I could take to our mirror shop and have them pop a new mirror into. I'm not a big of fan of putting in all glass and hanging the sconces on the glass. Sigh....

Ok I think we have figured it out! We decided to demo the shower now... that wasn’t planned initially but here we are. So, we are going with a black, white, and wood colors. Contemporary industrial look. We decided on SW alabaster paint for the walls, the wood vanity in knotty alder, vessel sink, black fixtures, we also purchased an OVE LED mirror, for behind the sink the backsplash will be white herringbone tile with charcoal grout. The shower will be 3x12” white subway tiles stacked vertically with white grout. We are going to build a recessed shelf in the shower that will match the vanity backsplash, it will be the herringbone tile with charcoal grout. We ordered a dreamline shower door with black matte hinges. I also found this fun artwork to hang on the wall opposite the vanity, I am going to just DIY it myself. It’s all coming together! Tile pattern for the shower, the herringbone will be the recessed shelf. Rest of the shower will be the stacked subway tiles. The tiles are all bright white, this photo is not the best!
