Should Malwarebytes run at startup?

Just checking my start-up programs and notice MB listed. I have the free version and always run it manually. How come it shows in start-up?

It does not need to. You can manually start it then hit update.

MalwareBytes free updated here right before christmas.
Its now Pro version & does run at start up with some added protection - I assume for 30 days. I maybe was tired or busy when it updated, and possibly didnt pay attention & got pro by accepting it quickly.

Welcome... I might run CCleaner again .. it really should take just moments unless you have Tons & Tons of old outdated files. I don't think ive ever seen it run more than maybe 3 or 4 minutes. If you feel brave Minnie you can click Start, click Run and type msconfig, click OK. Now click the Boot.ini tab. Look down the list for 'timeout' and it will have a number next to it. By default this is normally 30 seconds, you can change that to 5 and reduce the startup time by 25 seconds. For any lurker who might like this idea you should not do this if you have a dual boot system. You need extra seconds to decide which operating system you wish to boot into.
